I gotta' keep you all updated.

I've changed some things a bit and I'll be releasing the final Chapter so I could finally end this mission-pack, as for the DLC - I'll do it whenever I can in my free time.

Lots of things happened and now I'm a lot more busy with life and got stuff to do!

Anyways, stay tuned.

Ghost Ship: REMASTERED is FULLY COMPLETED.

Now all I've got is to do that short DLC chapter as a snack for you all.

Anyways, it's been a short journey and I've enjoyed to visit my 8 year old mission-pack and remastering it to a whole new level with the

new DYOM features that were added throughout the 8 years. Also got to enjoy a little bit of the @SIZZZ's DYOM# add-on on the final chapter.

I've opened up a poll so please don't forget to vote for your favorite Chapter of the main story.

I'll be waiting on everybody's feedback! ;)

For those who cannot complete the final boss battle, here are some hints:

Spoiler
  • Always hide behind the columns from Albert's 100% Sniper Accuracy.
  • Always rest before sprinting, sprinting and jumping to the next columns are the best options.
  • You can always return fire at Albert and roll over to the next columns.
  • Each portal you destroy will cause an explosion near it. Do not stay next to it.

I was informed that the first mission of Chapter 5 crashes and that in the mission The Tower a keycard pickup doesn't appear.

I fixed it.

Redownload the chapter, thank you.

Extra Chapter is in progress, by the way.

Will be releasing a COMPLETE EDITION of the whole Mission-Pack including some other stuff too. You'll see.

Go to GTA user files in documents, place the folder that has a specific 5 letter name inside the SD folder.

I would be a damn lair if i didn't say i am amazed af, if i ever made a fictional story with interesting plots i should go to hell if i didn't say that this mission inspired me. It inspired me and a lot of this community that nothing is impossible in a small mode. And by far this is the most interesting story on forums, looking for the DLC, cant wait man.

Extra Chapter - A Storm is Approaching is now done.

I'm safe to say that Ghost Ship: REMASTERED is now 120% done.

I'll be releasing COMPLETE EDITION very soon with a whole new trailer.

Yes, everything is in place. There's a link on the main page and a link in the DYOM page.

Also!

I've added a new question for you to vote, so please, everyone, vote.

These questions will help me determine what things to do for... future mission-packs.

Hmm played the DLC, it was good but too short and felt like something was missing. It looked more as a Prologue but most as a recalling of what happened, maybe told by the ghost or tom during the main story, but still good though it needs a followup or something.

Ghost Ship
Chapter 1 Review

Chris White, Ghost Ship's main protagonist comes to shore, barely alive...but alive still. A group of civilians look on, one whom called for emergency services. A speeding ambulance comes to a screeching halt, where two EMTs goes to Chris' aid. He's a familiar face to them so they spend a bit of time trying to piece things together before getting him inside.
Later he's asleep and out of uniform in what seems to be a bedroom or perhaps a private hospital room? Toreno seeks information while Chris battles to collect himself and what happened aboard the ship. This takes us into a beautiful introductory score and scene of Chris returning to the ship.

Chapter 1 included just the right amount of spooky, thrill, and plot to capture the audience (the gamer's) attention. Finding himself aboard an abandoned ship with what he'd only believed to be occupied by terrorist, our protagonist is engaged by ghost, a strange woman who appears to have been watching him throughout (Alessa?), and a world that is very unique.

Lukas, the designer crafted a world that takes us out of San Andreas and into something a bit strange, unusual, and a bit creepy. While there was challenge to completing the first chapter without cheats, I enjoyed it. Its easy to strategize and make it through without any external help. I'm just getting started. I'll be starting on chapter 2 really soon. Likely in a few minutes actually!

Side note: During the first mission I have a problem with draining health. For no reason at all my health continues to drop. I've been looking for a fix but haven't found anything yet.

Well it kinda was meant to be short.

LnD, I've finally finished the remake and what a ride it was. I'd written reviews after chapters 2 and 3 (below) and for the rest I road the wave of this pretty crazy thrill ride.

Chapter 2

In Chapter two of Ghost Ship, Chris encounters a heavier challenge. Throughout he fights his way through a ship of enraged ghost and a very vengeful villain. Everything from the scene design to boss battles made this chapter all worth it. To be honest, I had to cheat some of my way through, though I played mostly with strategy to go against the challenge presented in the chapter. Headed to chapter 3. This is definitely a quality project with a unique storyline.

Chapter 3

Chris alongside Tom, and Albert Wayne all look to defeat the main protagonist...a she ghost, very powerful and very dangerous. Yet one of our newest protagonist has an ulterior motive. this chapter showcases a higher level of difficulty that makes the heart race. The musical score helps the player get into the action and brings on a pretty cool level of drama along with it. The further I go into this mission pack, the more I realize this project is for the "thinking-gamer" or "strategist", if you will.

You have to be quick and you have to be vigilant. Lukas has always been one of my favorite designers and this piece of work reminds me of why I often enjoyed playing his mission packs. The level of detail that when into contructing this all would seem like a tall task for anyone else, but I feel that the author has a mind for this kind of thing. I'm hoping after this we get something new in the works. I wouldn't mind if took more time and effort. I'd be all the more patient just to see what's on the horizon. On to chapter 4!

After Chapter 3 things got intense and I became even more infatuated with the story as well as the action. The boss battles forced me to strategize and I'd eventually succumb to shady tactics (health please! lol), but this was all to see things through to the end. Ghost Ship is indeed a thinking man's (or girl) game. You have to strategize, you have to be vigilant, you have to think outside of the box. I won't give a way any spoilers but I must say that this remake topped the original significantly. This project was strongly helped by the soundtrack included through out each mission. This created a mood that placed us into this strange world where we fought to survive the unexpected. I won't give any specific ratings...because it doesn't need one. I just wish to play more quality mission packs/storylines such as this one. Please come back with something new haha..even though this is partly that, I'm pretty sure we haven't seen your peak just yet. Well done!

played the first chapter. i'll play chapter 2 after i finish this review.

to be honest, the first chapter already proved that the Ghost Ship has been haunted by some kind of supernatural possession. (silent hill flashbacks lol) though, as seemed chris at the introduction was hurt by some kind of a monster (shark mentioned, but the medic says they haven't been in san andreas since 1965). the first chapter sets 1 month before the ongoing events where chris was finally taken to talk with toreno. were these terrorists russian? since they mention chris as "American" the whole time. i thought first chris has schizophrenia as he kept hearing voices overtime during the final missions of the first chapter. object design was great - action also displayed great movements, whom i had fun with; i have found 10 green goos, and 1 big smoke dancing (good one easter egg though.) portal design was good, same with soundtrack design as to add more atmosphere for the MP. i just, loved, where you added Alessa as Chris's wife because dang silent hill flashbacks again. you'd be able to see ghost ship easter eggs in my mission-pack as well. moving onto the second chapter for now, anyways; those 5 missions were fun to play and easter eggs making it even more cooler. action parts were also pretty developed. the difficulty wasn't hard at all, it wasn't that easy but it wasn't that hard.

alright. finished the second chapter as well. here's my review:

the object placement as usually was great as even noticed from the first chapter. the difficulty was honestly not easy nor medium but hard especially in "The Way Back" mission, where the military wielding minigun guy destroys you within seconds. i succeeded in the second try, but the creature hordes were easy to workout against; this chapter also tells us more of the story of the Ghost; a woman who constructed her own world. forgot to mention, when the "thing" was sleeping in the Living Quarters room should be put in must survive; because nerds and smarties like me would kill it and grab the Flamethrower as to burn down the incoming hordes.

so, we meet also new characters such as Selva and Tom; Selva's story was explained by herself, a cleaning woman who died. however, the Ghost seems to possess Chris (as seen in the last mission of Chapter 2) and let to fall in his doom. smart idea there, but actually the way to solve it is very simple indeed; skipping the cutscene. looks like we will meet some guys who would try to stop the Ghost in chapter 3.

also an add on - use of soundtrack was recognizable because The House of Horror, which was a good soundtrack

great job as always, lukas.

finished the third chapter as well, pretty fast ain't it?

after hearing a conversation with the terrorists, who appear to be killed by the Ghost in the beginning. this chapter marks her defeat, as seen in the last mission. after with the support of Albert and the kid Tom who appears to flex against Chris; they enter the lab and fight and come towards encounter with the Ghost.

to be honest, this chapter was hard because of the Ghost's powers - the encounter with the minigun, the flamethrower aspects were fully original. we see also original civilian Chris, whom appear to fight against the soldier Chris White. (this kinda resembles the "Memory of Alessa" boss fight from silent hill 3, i don't know if you took inspiration from there or anything; my flashbacks.) the new mercenary creatures weren't hard as well, as if you have good accuracy you can take on against them within seconds. the only flaw is that you made the civilian Chris have same accuracy as the soldier one but it was the exact opposite; i killed him within 12 seconds. creature hordes were again, but now somewhat more difficult to handle; the last part was actually interesting - the betrayal of Albert Wayne (i see you took inspiration from resident evil series, right?) and the creation of his - own world. soundtrack design had some flaws where it stopped playing and continued the next objective. will continue on the fourth chapter now.

finished the fourth chapter. it was somewhat easier than the previous two. edit: finished chapter 5 as well.

after Albert's betrayal, we see that the Ghost still having some powers showing us that the killed are Albert's men; usually i consider this a genocide, but i felt bad for Selva after she was killed by a terrorist. we also play as civilian Chris this time, as showed Toreno had allied with Albert Wayne; we also see Chris's wife, Alessa. We would play as her for a little bit of time before the events on the ship to spy on Toreno; it was fun killing the terrorists, the action plus the soundtracks had me motivated. great job as always, i know this was a short review before i go on the last chapter.

chapter 5: this one was hardcore, as i managed to die multiple times on Alberts bossfight and i killed Toreno with ease. Albert was the hardest boss i have ever encountered in DYOM. he has insane accuracy but you need to know his movements. epilogue was also good.
