I believe someone fixed it by killing their horse. So run it off a cliff, make it fetch some dynamite or put it on the train tracks and wait. Then go to the stables and retrieve it and it should be good again.

happygrowls
Tried getting the horse down then using a reviver? I've had issues with horses being constantly tired in the PVP event on horseback, really damn annoying I spent all my hay in one mode.

Chunkey_Monkey
Really strange this is the Fox Trotter has now miraculous recovered and is Fit and well, but my Black Arabian that was fine is now poorly, Is it an illness going thru the stable lol Edited January 18, 2019 by GTP_Monkey Simon Le Tocq
rusbeckia
yesterday I bought myself a black arabian and named him John Brown, after the infamous abolitionist who killed five slaveholders back in the 19th century EDIT: he split their heads with a swiss sword. Crazy ass sh*t lol Edited January 25, 2019 by rusbeckia IamCourtney and Chunkey_Monkey

Zaji
My character is only lvl 60 so no Arabian horses just yet but I've got 4 horses at lvl 4 bonding. 1st one is the tiger striped mustang and has no problem. 2nd one is is the thoroughbred brindle and again no issue. 3rd one is the amber champagne fox trotter and she has the problem. 4th one is the silver turkoman and she also has the problem. I'm saving spot 5 for the white arabian but like all the better horses she'll have the issue too. I hope someone finds a solution to this and/ or that rockstar fixes it. Cause the cost of the stable increases per horse but when they don't take care of em what's the point?!

When they enter the stables i make sure their cores etc are full< But if you look at all your horses stats whilst in the manage horse menu the "ill" one have empty stats and cores they show red and more importantly whenever you take one out the stable or after any cut scenen their heads hang low with their nose almost touching the floor and their front legs splay out this makes them look very ill. They cannot run fast or hard tull they have been fed up and all stats and cores are full. Its most annoying after doing a story mission to spawn intro an area where grievers are camping because you cannot just jump on horse find sanctuary to adjust weapon wheel etc you have to sit and feed your horse before making your escape/moves Black Arabian now cured again with Turkoman all good (he hasn't had the virus at all) and Fox Trotter now suffering virus again along with White Arabian who has had virus since the day i bought her Not just the expensive horse suffer my friend has a Tiger striped Morgan thats suffering this as well Also check the horse stats in Player/horse menu the virus will show in the as horse will be malnourished Edited January 25, 2019 by GTP_Monkey

Never happened to me before. I‘m guessing you already tried making it flee and calling it back? I mean it‘s kinda drastic, but what happens whennit dies and you „claim the insurance“ in stable menu? Ive tried everything from making it flee to giving it all sorts of horse tonics and finally killing it but nothing cures it ive even sent in a ticket to R* who havnt even had the decency to reply I spent over 70 gold bars on the Arabians NOT to be able to use them rusbeckia

This sounds drastic. Nedd to check for my other three horses later, lately only used the black arabian John Brown who is well as can be. have you purchased horse insurance? I dunno if that might affect it since I never bought it. (Little offtopic: is there actually any use for horse insurance? Lvl 83 now and never used it.) might it have to do with the reseting of horse bonding which happens a lot? Because a fix for that is to make it flee and call back in 30 secs. in any case I would definitely report your problem to R* in the Bug report section. (If you haven‘t already) 5 minutes ago, GTP_Monkey said: Ive tried everything from making it flee to giving it all sorts of horse tonics and finally killing it but nothing cures it ive even sent in a ticket to R* who havnt even had the decency to reply I spent over 70 gold bars on the Arabians NOT to be able to use them This is really a shame my friend.. hope this gets fixed soon btw I wrote R* 3 times and they always replied to me. Most likely they already know about it anyway and will fix it soon. I hope. Other question: which stable spots are your infected horses in? I‘m only using the first three. I can‘t imagine that having an impct on it, but who knows Another (expensive) idea what be special horse food. Dorsn‘t it golden the horses cores? She's fit and ok even after death, missions and whatnot but since I hate the arabians being giant pansies.. I decided to stable the arabian and take out the malnourished fox trotter. Same thing as with our character, feed it like 3 carrots or 3 hay or other good stuff and wait 5 minutes.. accept no missions, stranger missions, don't go into stables, don't die.. and keep feeding the horse 3 things every 5 mins for like 45 minutes + and eventually it will become fit again BUT.. When my fox trotter was fit again, pressing left on the d-pad to check stabled horses.. guess what? My perfectly fit & fed arabian now has empty cores in the stable and when I take it out to check it it says malnourished.. Let's hope this gets fixed soon cause I'd prefer to use different horses for different tasks.. Chunkey_Monkey

Zaji
After the last update, when you fed your horses up and walked them a little bit and then put em back in the stable they were fine and stayed fine. But as of yesterday I switched my horse that I use all the time out for another one of my horses and later on I realised the red cores on the one I put in the stable.. And now no matter what I do, it stays at malnourished once again.. So it's still not 100% fixed it would seem. Anyone else still experiencing this? Bought a 5th horse a week ago it was fine for the 3 or 4 days i used then i went back to my rotation system of using 1 per real day and when i got round to the new horse it had red cores and reduced specs exactly like the original virus R* have proven they cant sort out this sh*t None of my other horses that were affected by the original virus suffer, they are all in good health. Ive deleted this new horse as i cant be arsed to go thru this sh*t again
