I'm still holding off on buying any till I find one from a chest, at rank 122 I feel kinda silly not having explosive ammo at this point though lol, but oh well.

Out of 15 treasure maps found I've only received one pamphlet. Rank 175 here.

I’ve received 2 pamphlets from treasure chests.

Bought the poison arrows pamphlet. And then I was wondering, if it is any of use in the on the hunt stranger missions. Would one arrow suffice to take down a legendary animal & maybe get a better pelt ? Because obviously they always come out poor after multiple hits. Has anyone tried ?

Yeah my success rate up till now has obviously been a big fat zero, but I'm persistent, I wanna see what I get for my first one (I guess this is what I resort to when there's no  gambling mini games in online, gotta gamble with my time and patience instead).

is there an overwiev which shows the needed materials to craft each weapon type?

 

and which one do I definitly need? I have split point atm, because its easy to craft and no materials are needed.

The only one‘s I use regularly are Dynamite Arrows and Express Explosives. Poison Arrows can be useful for hunting. Oh and Fire Arrows are pretty cool, but you don‘t „need“ them either... so. It‘s just a nice to have imo.

 

All arrow pamphlets need feathers: dynamite needs.... dynamite, poison needs oleandersage and fire needs animal fat.

 

express explosives need express ammo and animal fat.

 

oh I almost forgot small game arrows, which are a must for hunting.

Legendary animals don't have star rating.

I have put it to the test. And yes indeed you can get a perfect pelt from a legendary on the hunt animal by using a single poison arrow. Does not matter on the payout though as that is still based on completition time.
