Disciple Four
Hello.Could anyone tell me what's the actor limit per mission? I tried spawnning 100 actors but at least half of them turned into ball-actors.Also what's the car limit per mission?
AnDReJ98
The actor limit is 100, however.. you can't put 100 actors at the same time because engine can't handle it. What you need to do is hide actors that you no longer need throughout the mission. That way you will be able to spawn more actors and use the full potential. Let's say for example, there are two shootouts, when making the second shootout, remove dead bodies from the first shootout so you can put more actors in the second shootout. What if I want to create a military company in my mission? A military company in real life have 80 to 150 soldiers.I guess I can't do that now,can I? Imagine all the potential the designers would have if there was no limit in spawnning actors, cars, objects etc.But I understand. Thanks for the answer,Andrew.Love your missions by the way. At least I was able to create a military platoon consisted of 45 actors.I can create up to a platoon.Imagine if I could create a regiment in a war mission.Imagine 2.400 American Soldiers fighting 2.400 Russian Soldiers.Or at least a Battalion composed of 300 soldiers. That would be mind-blowing.But yeah,I know. It's crazy and impossible.Anyway, thanks again. Check my stories if you want. There are in dyom.gtagames.nl under the profile WhiskeyCH6.Take care Edited January 10, 2019 by SOC-WhiskeyCH6
AnDReJ98
I understand what are you talking about but limits are there for a reason.. Not because we want them. As you already mentioned yourself, there's no way to make battles that large but you could try splitting it into 2 or 3 smaller battles. You know, having 20/30 actors vs 20/30 actors makes it feel huge too. I have already tried it before when dyom had less features, and now with soundtrack and special environment made with certain objects and vehicles, a 40-60 men battle would feel really huge in my opinion. You can do anything with dyom.. anything that you imagine.. Take your imagination as the one and only limit in the designing world. Alright, thanks for the advice. One more question though. How to avoid actors turning into ball-actors?
Springfield
Keep hiding the 'Actors' once you think they are no longer in use. This will avoid your actors turning themselves into a 'Ball'.
