Ray Carter Posted January 7, 2019 Share Posted January 7, 2019 This is a widely discussed mission for various reasons, but something not mentioned is how the mission can be failed. Sure, there are many other plot holes and goofs in missions, but most can be solved through assumptions and speculation. The mission can fail because the Train 'gets away' due to passing through the blockades leaving Carl unable to continue following. This makes no sense as to how the Train can essentially escape by an exploit or an unfair advantage. It would have been better to simply have a cut-scene where the Bike breaks down just before the bridge to Las Venturas which would better explain the mission failure. MISSION FAILED, You would think that the train would eventually catch you up, but NO! Once off the radar the trian disappears, gone to nowhere. Failed! How does the person who taught you about guns suddenly have such bad weapon skills? Why does my train even move after you shoot me?
