HOW'S ANNIE?
I know this thread should probably be in the BoGT section, but I figured with its level of inactivity (and the fact it's still a DLC for IV) I'd post it here. All throughout IV we were lead to believe Luis was still associated with Willy Valero and the Gomez brothers... Then BoGT was released and we saw no sign of them, instead being written out and replaced with Armando and Henrique. Considering the creative direction the DLC appears to have been altered a lot during production this seems to be a fairly last minute change on Rockstar's part. Hell they were even so lazy they gave them the same last names as Liz and Mallorie, even though logically there's little chance of relation. My question is why replace Oscar, Willy and Alonso with these two clowns? They could have easily have given Oscar and Willy the same personality types and the game would have been, what like 1% different? Edited January 7, 2019 by HOW'S ANNIE? TheSantader25
That's R* for you. The same reason they cut Bulgarin out of IV to be turned into a clown in TBOGT and replaced him with whiny pegorino.

Grotti Vigilante
Oscar, Willy and Alonso aren't scrapped characters. They are directly mentioned by Luis Lopez early on in The Ballad of Gay Tony, and in one club side-mission you even meet Oscar in a quick deal before things go wrong. Armadno and Henrique aren't replacements, they are their own characters who mentioned the police still thinking Luis associated with the Gomez and Valero crew. I don't think you've played these games in a while, because I'd be surprised if you forgotten so quickly. I mean when throughout IV was Luis even mentioned? I haven't played it myself in a while but I still remember quite a bit. If that happened then it's clearly one thing I don't remember.

The Valero brothers are allegedly in jail for drug trafficking offenses and one of them was murdered by Niko already. Henrique and Armando were once part of the Valero brother's crew, but now they are both out of jail themselves, they have ambitions to create a new drug crew of their own.
