Zello
I think the only two I enjoyed were the Valentine heist and the train robbery with John pouring fourth oil.
RJX74
None of them were as good as GTA V's. TheSantader25, Ayesha and BilalKurd
Smokewood
what heists? Do you mean the robberies? Apples and oranges compared to heists in gta 5 BilalKurd, jje1000 and Ayesha
Tonesta
I'm trying to think what other ones there were..... I guess there's the train heist at the beginning, the train heist at the end, and the bank heist in St. Denis? A couple of minor coach and/or home robberies here or there? But I'd say in RDR2, they're just regular missions. Some of them don't even qualify as that, they're more side activities. Certainly they're not the centerpieces of the game, with multiple prep missions, as they were in GTA V. Can't say I thought any of them were bad, or unenjoyable though. But I do agree that Pouring Forth Oil was one of the best missions of the game.
Haha365
I enjoyed them, maybe because i viewed them differently than the GTA heists. Smokewood
Furi0sa
They're very cinematic and beautifully framed but the on rails nature of the missions can't be denied. This feels like a game for old cinephiles. BilalKurd, saintsrow and jje1000

TheSantader25
The game does have a couple of iconic missions. Like the last missions from Chapter 3, 4 or "A Quiet Time". The heist I enjoyed the most was the train robbery with John. I personally liked the heists in V and even previous GTAs more. But I don't think they should be compared to RDR2. I think that 'Red Dead Redemption' is the greatest mission that R* have ever made. Sure Three Leaf Clover and a bunch of others from the GTAs are adrenaline-pumping thrill rides and very exciting. But thrilling and exciting is relatively easy to do. Red Dead Redemption genuinely - if you've got a soul - makes you at different stages furious, anxious, sad, mournful and ultimately contemplative...... .....the ride with Sadie, negotiating with her over tactics, Arthur fighting his way through Van Horn and the final stages of TB simultaneously, the reveal of Micah's treachery and Milton's death, goodbye to Abigail, Arthur's final ride, the final dissolution of the Van der Linde gang and the mexican standoff, Susan's death, the frantic escape with John, your horse's death, the final scrap with that rat Micah, the final plaintive appeal to Dutch's heart that results in stalemate and finally (if you're an honorable dude) Arthur's last sunrise. I don't know how long it took - 40 minutes maybe? - but it was as emotional and dramatic a ride as any movie, and profoundly moving. I guess some people would say that it was too cinematic, and there was not enough gameplay. But personally, if a story's emotional climax is this good, I'll take it any way it comes. CrimsonFolo
Heists felt more like one off missions to me rather than it's own thing but idm that, story was beautiful. 3 leaf clover is probably in my top 3 favourite GTA IV missions.
just do it bob1
Honestly, the exclusive heist you get with the Ultimate Edition was really bad. For spending the extra cash that I did, I would have expected more coming from Rockstar. To top things off, it's actually a missable mission. Why would the mission be missable if I paid for it? A lot of the other heists were lackluster too. The best one out of them all was the Valentine Heist for me. Even then, it still wasn't good. However (to the people in the comments), I do think it's unfair to compare Red Dead to GTA V. Comparing the heists in those two games is not fair. They are completely different games. Implicitly
Yeah the "heists" were a dissapointment. At first they're decently fun, but way too easy. Second playthrough I realized how much they lacked. There is so many stagecoach robberies in this game, it's purely repetitive. The side secret mission "heists" with Bill, Tilly and Mary-Beth were an opportunity for character development and something fun and new but instead it's; "ride to a stagecoach location and wait 10 minutes for $80 you don't need!" Literally nothing unique. Seriously I don't want to rob a stagecoach for the hundredth time. The Valentine one wasn't so bad though. The boat one with Trelawny was fun but way too simple and quick. So, eh. Edited January 6, 2019 by Implicitly BilalKurd and just do it bob1

HockeyMike24
The only reason Three Leaf Clover stood out in GTA IV is because all the missions were so repetitive in that game. GTA IV has one of my favourite R* stories but the mission design wasn't nearly as good as RDR 2 or even GTA V. There are lots of great missions in this game that will be classics, just give it a couple years. RedLars, Meekail and TheSantader25
