DarksunDaFirst
Has anyone actually ever gotten 5 worms from buying a single tin of worms, or is it always just one? I've since bought the 3 basic lures (river, lake, swamp), but even then I like to use worms when going after the large fish (muskies, pike) since they can more easily break the line. IamCourtney
They're bugged at the moment, if you buy from a catalogue you only get one worm per tin but if you buy them directly from the store shelf you get the proper 5. Same goes for crickets and crawfish. You can buy tins at the Lagras bait shop and Blackwater general store, not sure about other locations. IKilledMyHorseAgain
nope, it says five worms but you only get one. Not sure if its a glitch or just bad labeling but you def only get one worm per can. Its dumb either way. Edit: just saw the post above mine. Ive never bought them from the catalog and never gotten more than one worm per can so its def sounding more of a glitch than bad labeling if others are experiencing it differently. Online is has been a wacky experience for me. To this day I still can't get any extra hats and keep the ones that flash/shine. And this is what is getting to me because it seems so inconsistent...worms and hats. What a combination. Pressure Drop
I noticed this too, but I let it slide because I wanted to fish. Pretty expensive though, 50 cents per worm! I did buy the special spinner early from Lagras bait shop, for 3 gold, but you still need bait so... I tend to use crickets as they are only 25c
Bakkerbaard
Yeah, storebought and catalogue bought worms are one per 50 cents. Pretty steep indeed. Haven't tried shelf bought yet, might give that a go when I'm done here. I'm wondering about the lure though: In what situation do you lose it? Just the regular lure, I haven't levelled up to anything special yet. I might be tempted to buy it if it's hard to lose.

Stormingz
I always buy off the shelf, get the full five worms that way, in my experience anyway.

Yeah, since I figured out that I don't need to hold fourteen buttons at once like I thought I did I've been fishing a lot more too. I'm just gonna go an pick up the lure, see what happens. Money's not really an issue... ALifeOfMisery

I tried to lose a lure just to see what it takes. You basically have to do everything the game tells you not to do, reel when the fish is struggling, not control the fish, and so on. I had to really try to lose one, and I was in a area where I always catch big Gar too. You know the drill that when the fish is fighting you just hold the stick to keep your reel from going back out, but when they stop you actually restart reeling them in. Well with the large fish, the sensitivty is a bit higher to breakage (especially the Lake lure) if you mistime it but it's almost always very forgiving. Mine broke literally just as fish started fighting and I wasn't even reeling hard. They're not that expensive once you get past the level cap and the fish you pull in with them all pay for it with one catch (unless it's salmon...those are only worth $2 I think). Yeah, turns out I'm not even at lure-level yet, so worms off the shelf it is. Lure's gonna be a good investment though. I only go for fish that fit in my pockets and a stack of salmon is gonna pay back the lure quick enough. If not, there's always a deer willing to ick up the check. Paying gold for them is still cheap, like 1 bar. 3 bars for, practically, unlimited fishing with no need to re-bait in any area is a good bargain. Also small fish will go after worms, but not lures. Bought the river lure first for a test drive and in between what I have now dubbed "slammin' salmon" I quickly ordered the other lures too. These things pay themselves back with a vengeance, I've been decimating fish populations everywhere tonight. Well, up until this Niko-something asshat showed up with a Carcano and a Tom Berenger-like aim. Apparently they must have thought I said something about their mother.
