Boozey St John

What is your character's backstory?

Mine is simple:

"Kroshka" (Translation: "Baby") as the family called her was born to a black father and a Russian mother; parents were killed due to their relationship when she was 16.

She started drifting around the states mostly earning money as a prostitute and vaudeville performer.  By the time she was 22, she was wanted for murder, thus becoming an outlaw/gun for hire.

Now 29, Kroshka has had a brush with death; feeling alive once more, she now continues her outlaw lifestyle with her childhood best friend, Lottie.

She's an honorable person for the most part, but she won't back down from a fight if provoked.

(Kroshka was a childhood nickname that stuck. That is the name she uses when introducing herself.)

I han't put much thought into it, just where Online begins. My character and some of her friends intended a night out, not unlike the story mode mission A Quiet Place. They were killed, and she was framed for murder.

My guy looks pretty rough and ugly but I did that on purpose. He looks kind of native American with long slicked back white hair and I gave him a huge scar on the left side of his face. He's a war vet/retired outlaw who is wiser now and trying to lead a peaceful life of hunting and helping people (sometimes with bad things) until Rockstar adds more content.

Bad Azz

Well I was leading a miserable existence in prison mining rocks all day long with my bronze pickaxe until some morning a funny dude showed up and offered me my liberty back in exchange of my liberty.

The fact that one of them fools is the manager of my camp tells me these f*ckers will have a tight grasp on my balls for a long time.

Claudia Feathers....born to Mrs. Ansonia Feathers. She was of good family, albeit one of modest means. During the time of RDO she was a wild, rebellious teenager living the outlaw lifestyle fueled by an obsession for wealth. For unknown reasons never fully documented in history, she changed her ways about the age of 20 and became a woman looking to live a modest life with a family.

She was a comely young woman and not without legitimate prospects. Therefore it was at once heartbreaking and astonishing to her mother that she would enter into marriage with William Munny, a known thief and murderer, a man of notoriously vicious and intemperate disposition. Once married, he gave up drinking and his wicked ways to settle the family and start a swine farm. She bore him two children in the eight years of their marriage and when she died at age 29, it was not at his hands as her mother might have expected, but of smallpox.

Some years later, Mrs. Ansonia Feathers made the arduous journey to visit the last resting place of her only daughter. William Munny had long since sold the place and disappeared with the children... some said to San Francisco where it was rumored he prospered in dry goods. And there was nothing on the stone to explain to Mrs. Feathers why her only daughter had married a known thief and murderer, a man of notoriously vicious and intemperate disposition.

Great thread.  Love reading everyones stories and seeing the creativity(which I lack).  Here goes mine:

My character, Jamus Dickenson, AKA Manwith Noname, was born a bastard child in the middle of the civil war to a Leanne Dickenson, who ran a small bed and breakfast inn in the town of Havre de Grace Maryland.  The inn served as a first stop in the underground railroad for escaped slaves seeking their freedom.  The inn was later burned to the ground by the confederate army forcing Leanne and her infant child to flee deeper south to the Carolina's where her sister Martha lived(whom was married to a tobacco plantation owner).  Leanne was turned into confederate authorities in exchange for gold by her brother in-law/plantation owner, Thomas Robinson.   Leanne was hung for her crimes of assisting black slaves flee the south to freedom in the north.

Jamus Dickenson, AKA Manwith Noname is now an orphan and is known as Jamus Robinson.  Growing up, Jamus' loved music and learns to play a few instruments.  Jamus eventually becomes a guitar strumming, banjo picking, piano tickling, harmonica playing M'F'er like no other.  Jamus plays the country blues so sweet and slow, it will make you melt where you stand.  When Jamus becomes of age, he leaves the plantation with no direction and no place to go, he sets to the open road and heads west..  Jamus, on his thoroughbred horse named Lucille Balls,  travels the country side from saloon to saloon, playing music for change or just a meal to eat until he is picked up in  Texarkana for a crime he did not commit.  While sitting in his cell drowning in his sorrow, he hears the light weeping of a young 18yo black woman in the cell across the way.  She gently sings a tune: "I know you rider, gonna miss me when I'm gone".  She sobbed as she sang the next line "gonna miss your baby from rollin' in your arms".  The young woman was hung the next day for murdering a white man, but her sweet soulful voice, and those words she sang lived in Jamus' head.  He would never be the same.  Jamus kept singing her song to himself, adding some lines here and there.  The song became longer, "Laid down last night, Lord I could not take my rest"  'My mind was wondering like the wild geese in the west"

Jamus was eventually freed by some old guy and a not-so-bad looking widow(pretty sure Jamus banged her).  They charged him with taking revenge on the men who killed her husband and set him up.  Once he and his posse killed Teddy Brown, he set out to roam and inhabit the lands of New Austin, Ambarino, Hanover and Lemoyne(we don't know much about this period of time yet). However, the young black woman's voice, forever stuck in his head continued on..."I wish I was a headlight, on a northbound train, I'd shine my light through cold Colorado rain" Jamus sung the song and it's numerous variations as he traveled the countryside.  Jamus eventually passed away in his mid 40's of  dysentery and pink eye.  The song was later recorded as folk song legend, with nobody knowing the true origins.  Later in the 20th century, a band called The Grateful Dead recorded the song, and continued to play and make famous that sweet young lady's empathetic "I know you Rider".  To this day, legend has it that if you roam Scarlet Meadows and listen carefully, you can hear Jamus hum the tune and sing the lines "The sun will shine in my back door some day.  March winds will blow all of my troubles away"

Okay, so this is pretty much how I envisioned this character. He's dark and somewhat sadistic but also a great ally if needed. Kind of neutral. He's good and bad.

Born to a Native mother and a American father, Carson Levi 'Colt' Caine was always destined to have a life full of anguish and turmoil. Colt and his mother Kahentanó:ron was plucked from their Mohawk tribe by his father. She was in love and followed his every command, despite it going against her beliefs. Despite her loyalty, violence was enacted daily on Kahentaó:ron. The final beating being so vicious, she was near death. Carson was meant to go hunting with his pa, sat waiting in the nearby forest for hours. Settlers wandering here and there, but everything passed by. He eventually returned back home, to see this beating taking place. The boy was only 10 years old! Tears stained face, Carson fired off a bullet from his Revolver. a Cattleman Revolver. The single bullet struck right in the middle of the forehead, instant kill. A foreshadow to Carson's innate skill with a gun. His mother went on living for a few more days, but she couldn't look at him. Her precious boy a murderer like the outlaws the paper writes about. But he stayed with her, until she succumbed to her wounds and she too had passed on.

Both murders had been blamed on him, the Sheriff was corrupt, and it was bad on him not to catch the "bad" guy, with the government already breathing down his neck. So Carson, despite being 10 years old; was captured by bounty hunters paid off by the Sheriff. But his time stuck in their grasp was short lived, a ruthless group of outlaws had been keeping an eye on Carson. His natural skill with weapons, hunting, intuition, combat, And his connection to the natives; all of it made him a viable asset.

This group named themselves 'Gang of Wolves' - each members color represented their true self, who they are deep inside, embodies the color of the clothing they need to wear. Now it wasn't all outlandish colors. Not by a long shot. One man was quick to anger, a hot head; and so he wore dark red. Carson's soul was tormented, twisted and dark. Betrayed by those he loved dearly. And so, he clad himself in all black (although he did wear his native attire for hunting purposes, and I don't really have a new photo of him in the black gear.)

10+ years he teamed with them, honing his skills and becoming the most feared of them all. Carson died the same night as his parents, but Colt Caine was born. A new name, a new beginning. Colt robbed his way across America, stealing everything he could get. Until a botched train robbery forced them to disband. The leaders had murdered children, grandparents, mothers and fathers. It was a blood bath, while Colt was scavenging the train. Now Colt was a murderer, of course;  but he never killed the younguns. Nor did he kill for the sake of it, like the others did that night. They all couldn't escape, so Colt and one other was shot through the leg when their back was turned; rendering them unable to flee. They were caught and sentenced to be hung by Pinkerton's, a week held captive, but this gave him /just/ enough strength to escape.

Weeks passed and it all seemed quiet. Until one by one; the 'wolves' began to get hunted down. Each one who had betrayed him on that day, was found with a single bullet in the middle of the forehead, resting just against the bridge of the nose. A mark of his first kill, and every "big" target kill thereafter.

Their greatest weapon became their greatest downfall.

After their demise, Colt went to a quiet life; starting up his own company called 'The Black Wolf co.' , dabbling in bounty hunting, fur trading and the occasional trinket.

I thought you said you lacked creativity? This is very creative imo. All of these backstories are, I love it!

Honestly. I made/stole the story around the truth of a real song and it's only known origins...The woman in the jail cell is actually known as originating the song, I twisted my character around it, but I appreciate it anyway.

Legend has it that Snake Venom got his name when a Hunter found him just moments after his mother had given birth to him in the woods of the Cumberland Forest, as she hid in the brush trying to escape the Laramie Gang pursuing her, she was bitten by a rattlesnake, forcing her water to break and in an effort to save her child, she forced his birth as she slowly died. The Hunter was sure the newborn would die but miraculously the newborn survived and he raised the boy until his fourteenth year, that year the Hunter was killed by the Lemoyne Gang during the Lemoyne-Laramie Gang Wars. So for the past four solitary years he has lived in the forests, plains, mountains, and swamps...secretly decreasing the gang population with an intense desire to make the Laramie and Lemoyne Gang Leaders suffer slow painful deaths.  Fire burns the unjust, and making them suffer has become his life's work.

Felipe Alencar

Dv0PPXsWoAUVP2f.jpg:large

Felipe Alencar was just your average brazilian man who immigrated from his country to the USA in search of a better lifestyle and a better job. Having grown up in his grandather's farm after his parents died out on sea, Felipe's first gun was his grandfather's repeater, which he used to shoot his grandpa's empty beer bottles at evening. Later, he'd learn to shoot with his grandfather's revolver, which he earned after his old man's passing.

Felipe'd meet the love of his life by 20. After years with her, he'd later find out that she became pregnant. Desperate and wanting to escape child support, Felipe sold his grandpa's farm and sailed for the USA in search of a new life and work, leaving his woman behind. At the new country, he was unfortunately framed for a crime he did not commit and set to hang. Luckily, a strange man broke him out of the prison wagon for a chance of revenge.

Trivia: Felipe is one of the ancestors of my GTAO character, Daniel Alencar. Now, I know RDR and GTA take place in different universes, so the Daniel Alencar of the RDR universe might not be the same as the one from the GTA universe. Call it a case of "Schrödinger's Existence".

As the OP of the original gtao 'background story' thread...i approve this topic...(i always found it funny that the first 2 pages were all haters on the idea of backstories and roleplay,  but that thread is still active and people are still posting in it)

My character doesn't have much of a backstory yet,  at first i did a 'Peaky Blinders' look,  a nice suit and cap.  But i felt odd hunting in a suit and tie.

Now my character looks like an aged Wolverine, he simply loves off the land,  hunting simply to feed himself and survive.  Sometimes his blood lust takes him over and he may go hunting a bear or player..

An orphan found on the trail by a kindly woman, in the North West Slopes and Plains in the colonies of Australia. The woman raised him on her own with tales of her own son who had left home some years earlier to find his fortune. That son returned home after the death of his mother, when Rocket was just fourteen years of age, and took him under his wing. Teaching him the ways of the outlaw, this man turned out to be none other than Fred Ward, aka Captain Thunderbolt, a notorious Bush Ranger. When Thunderbolt was captured by Police, Rocket fled south. After earning a price on his own head for his mischevious deeds, he set sail for the Americas hoping for a better life.

Upon arriving in the Americas, Rocket headed west hoping to secure land and become an honest man. But with little money and no real prospects, his outlaw past soon lured him back to a life on the run from the law. It wasn't long before he met up with other like minded souls, and soon founded the Branded Bandits. A gang that managed to stay largely off the radar despite their unlawful ways. Known to use a number of aliases including; Dave Ross, Reg Devonaire, and Bill Malcolm, his true identity remains a mystery. Not much is known of the fate of Rocket, but it is believed that he latter returned to Australia where he took a wife and started a family.

It would be some one hundred years before one of this descendants returned to the US. A man claiming to be his great grandson (who adopted the name of his outlaw ancestor) arrived in the island state of San Andreas with dreams of the promised land and his great grandfathers legacy. He quickly founded The Branded MC, a 1% outlaw motorcycle club, reigning havoc on the good citizens of Los Santos. As President of The Branded, Rocket led the MC from their humble beginings in the quiet community of Blaine County, to becoming Nomads who roam freely as they see fit. Current whereabouts unknown.

THE LEGEND OF LAWLESS LUCILLE

34773u8.jpg

EARLY LIFE

Lucille was in born in 1880 to a Chinese Railroad Worker and a Native American prostitute. Her father died a few months later from a gunshot wound when he got into a dispute over wages with the foreman. Lucille's mother then travelled to live with her brother, an outlaw, in New Austin.

Over the course of the next few years, the outlaw taught the young girl how to shoot, hunt, cheat, lie and survive as this was a harsh world and even harsher for a woman.

Events Of RDO

On a foggy morning in 1898, a man named Teddy Brown and his boys came to their residence. He asked for some water and Lucille's mother reluctantly agreed to fetch him some. As she turned her back towards him, Teddy shot her in the head. The outlaw and Lucille rushed to her and a gunfight ensued. Teddy's boys were killed but he managed to escape. The outlaw had also been hit and died soon after. Lucille vowed revenge and managed to track Teddy to a nearby town. Unfortunately, she was arrested by corrupt policeman and sent to prison for Teddy's crimes.

(The rest of this part of the story will unfold during the events of RDO)

Post RDO And Possible Death
Lucille met another outlaw named Wayne Hill. They fell in love and robbed banks and trains together. During a bank heist gone wrong in St Dennis, they were chased by the police and cornered on top a mountain. With no other options, they jumped into the rapids below. Police searched for them for 3 days but they concluded that they could not have survived and declared them dead (Although their bodies were never found)

Some say they lived. There have been reports of them moving to Los Santos but these claims are unconfirmed. In recent years, a woman by the name of Lucie has risen through the ranks of the Los Santos Underworld. It has been rumoured that she is a descendant of Lawless Lucille but it remains just that, a rumour.

My RDO character ended up looking a lot like my SoT character.  So I combined back stories.

She was freed when pirates took the slave ship carrying her and joined their crew. She became known as the Dread Pirate Blackbush, and had every governor on the east coast after her.  So she went west to let the heat die down before going back to retrieve  the gold she buried.

Doc is from Butchers Creek, a big old inbred family of degenerate hill billies.  He's called Doc because he was the smart one of the family (he can sorta read).  His nephew Cletus used to be the smart one, but he got kicked in the head by a mule and now only dribbles and plays spoons.  Doc is a well travelled man with an open mind, and will eat just about anything including townsfolk from StDenis (thems is goodly vittals).

It’s a tragic story, he went to prison and good man and came out a criminal.

Coach was an easygoing family man, with a quick wit and wry sense of humor. He had a small ranch south of Valentine and was in town to sell some stock when all the ruckus started. He lost everything when he was framed for murder and sent to prison. His wife and kids and moved back East somewhere. Then that bastard Cornwall stole his land to build the damned railroad.

Now he’s torn between wanting to live a simple life and his desire for revenge. He feels an obligation to the people who freed him, even if he doesn’t really understand what it is they’re doing. He was never a violent man, but now he’s willing to get bloody if that’s what the job calls for.  Although most of the time he just wants to be left the hell alone to fish and hunt.

Some people are born on the right side of the tracks. Some people are born on the wrong side.

Greg the Peg? He was born right on them.

Chapter 1: A Man Unto Himself

Greg's father was a house slave - tall, charming, and with a good feel of how to keep the notorious Braithwaite clan entertained without diverting so much attention away from them that they ever felt threatened. They would bring him inside, sit back by the fire, and listen to his hilarious negro tales, always making sure to remind him of his place lest he get too sure of himself, and that he was 'one of the good ones.' (They used a different word.) This afforded him an easier lifestyle than any other negro on the entire estate - and they hated him for it. Mocked by the whites, and envied by the blacks, Greg Sr. was a man with no nation.

He took a special liking to one of the Braithwaite girls - she didn't seem to think or act like the rest of them - or anyone else he knew for that matter. He had heard them use big fancy words to describe her 'mbesyle' or something like that - but she was kind to him, and he to her. They bonded over their love of horses, despite the fact that neither of them were ever allowed to ride. They would walk all over the estate, leading the new horses around, brushing them, feeding them. It gave them peace. The Braithwaite brothers mocked them, insinuating sexual relations between the two. Now, this wasn't the case - they were friends, and nothing more or less - and normally this would be an act of great offense, but the Braithwaites couldn't care less about this sister - they had dogs they treated with more affection.

One night, the Braithwaite's sent Greg Sr. into town to pickup a horse they had just purchased through...less traditional means. He met the two men on the far side of the cemetery, out of sight of the rest of the town - they were odd men, and one didn't speak at all, but the transaction went smoothly, and he began to walk back to the manor, leading the horse. He was tempted to just ride it back and hop off as he approached the manor, but he had heard what happened to one of the Grays negros who got caught doing the same thing - and the Braithwaites would sure love the opportunity to show the Grays 'how to do a lynching right!' as they loved to remind him.

As he passed the saloon, a drunk white woman - Emma something, the daughter of that man who owned the general store - stumbled out of the front doors. She was young, wild, and tired of being told what to do. Greg Sr. was tall, handsome, athletic, and had a way with words that would make anyone smile. After inquiring as to why he was leading a horse rather than riding it, Emma was shocked and appalled to learn that he wasn't allowed. She could relate - there were alot of things she wasn't allowed to do that she didn't think was fair either. She offered to walk with him -  Greg Sr. refused, but she insisted - they were already on the outskirts of town, so there was little to no chance anyone would see them, and she would turn back well before they got to the manor.

4 months later, when Emma began showing, Greg Sr. was dragged through Rhodes, castrated, and hung by the signpost outside of the very saloon he met that girl.

He never did get to meet his son.

DonnieVega

(repost from character thread)

Born in Saint Denis from a Guarmese father and a Scottish mother, Donald "Donnie" Vega did not manage to follow in his parents footsteps.
Hard working people as they were, they could not prevent Donnie from entering a life of petty crime in the rough streets of east Saint Denis.
As part of the Milyonne Avenue streetgang, he started using opium at the age of 15 when their leader "Jimmy the Cat" introduced him to the substance.
Looking up to the people behind the opium trade, Donnie started to dream of one day standing at the helm of a large crime syndicate of his own.
Growing older he began to realize how much of a hindrance the opium use had become and despite the rest of the gang, he managed to stop using.
Having been the sole witness at a young age to "Jimmy the Cat" murdering their previous gang leader, Donnie now understood what he had to do.
At the age of 19 Donnie committed his first murder. In the dead of night he viciously stabbed their gang leader "Jimmy the Cat" to death.
He then took control of the Milyonne Avenue gang and "parted ways" with several older members while helping his loyal friends to stop using opium.
In the following years the small streetgang became one of the fastest expanding crime groups in the Bayou Nwa region, controlling most of east Saint Denis.
But after more than a decade of being in control of the gang, most of his senior members had been killed in gang violence and his power was now shrinking.
Corruption and power struggles had finally caught up with him and a plot was devised from within his own gang to take him out of the picture.
While making a deal with what he thought to be a trustworthy party he was arrested and found himself imprisoned for a murder he didn't commit…

This thread is great and I love reading everyone's backstories on their character. So cool to see how everyone has come up with such elaborate and well thought out stories! Haven't gotten to play RDO much so I'm still tweaking my story some to match my play style but I'll share when it's finished!

I'm a T1000 Terminator. I have all the upgrades like radar to find John Connor and when I do find him I will not miss thanks to my aim targeting computer.

I haven't come up with a backstory for my RDO character but I have decided that he's my GTAO character's great grandfather.

*more will be added to the story as Red Dead Online continues*

Roger Banton was born 7:36pm on December 2nd, 1871 in the northwestern territories. In the area that would eventually become the state of Montana. His parents, Meredith and Eustace, are part of a wagon train looking to strike gold in the heat of the western gold rush. The caravan started in Dodge City, Kansas, it was only a few wagons and carriages at first but it picked up several more travelers along the way. The group migrated further west and north, from location to location following every rumor and myth of gold. Sometimes they found something, other times they had to pack up and keep traveling. After a year of searching, mining and all the other hardships they had to go through, the gang of gold enthusiasts became skilled at their new trade. They began finding large veins of gold, and their reputation started to spread throughout the other states and territories. The travelers finally found what they had dreamed of, the gold rush was real and they reveled in it's glory for as long as they could. When Roger was two years old, the caravan heard of another rumor and they all headed out immediately to beat the now numerous competition. The caravan traveled the farthest west it ever had and just when they were close to their destination, they were attacked by bandits. Eustace was among the first few people that were killed. The rest of the caravan guards were out matched, they stood no chance against the outlaws. In the confusion of the ambush, Meredith took Roger in her arms and fled into the wilderness hoping to keep her baby safe. As Meredith disappears deep into the forest, the bandits kill the rest of the caravan and take off with anything worth value. Meanwhile, the gun shots and screams caught the attention of a local native and his son who watch over the scene from a distance. They are the only ones who witness Meredith run away from the chaos.

Meredith runs through the forest with Roger crying her in arms, she runs until her legs ache and they force her to stop. She slows down to take a glance back at the carnage but all she can see is trees and the sun light fading in between them. The adrenaline subsides and it seems that the mother and her child are safe. As Meredith relaxes and lets out a sigh of relief, the pain hits her immediately. She had been shot in the back during the escape, just below the shoulder blade. Any kind of help was miles away in this new frontier, she knew this was it. Meredith suddenly loses her balance and falls against a tree, sliding down the bark to a sitting position Roger still firmly in her grasp. Meredith tried her best to stay awake but her breathing was becoming difficult, her vision was beginning to blur, she could still hear her baby but she had no strength left in her body.. As the sun slowly sets, Meredith passes away while holding Roger in her arms. Not long after, the native and his young son tracked Meredith's path from the burning caravan and found Roger wrapped up in a blanket in her arms. The old man, moved by the woman's courage to protect her offspring, felt compelled to take the child in. The native laid Meredith down in the small clearing of the forest where she died. He encircled her corpse with small rocks and flowers, covered her body with tree branches and left her to decompose naturally. From that moment on, Roger would never know his true family or his true name but as time passed on, Roger found himself a new meaning. For many years he was raised by his adoptive father and brother, moving from place to place, avoiding confrontation between tribes and colonists. Life was rough for the small family but they always seemed to find a way. And then for a time, the three lived in peace and harmony..

The sudden colonization of foreigners was expanding rapidly and that forced the majority of the Natives to conform to the new ways and settle into a reservation or live in exile. Chogan(Blackbird), was unwilling to conform to the "civilized" world. Eight years before he found Roger, Chogan was betrayed by another tribe which resulted in his family and friends being slaughtered by mercenaries. That night, Chogan had to make a choice, either ride back as fast as he could, fighting impossible odds or he could ensure the survival of his infant son that was crying in his arms and ride into the night. Chogan saw that sacrifice with Meredith, a person of a completely different culture that made the same choice he did. Chogan took it as a sign to raise Roger and not let Meredith's death be in vain. This did not go well with his blood son, Nootau(Fire inside). At first, Nootau liked having a little brother since he never met his mother or any of his family but as he and Roger aged, Nootau grew to despise Roger. The eight year age gap allowed Nootau to torment and boss Roger around, such as belittling his skill and leaving him behind during hunts. No matter how badly his brother treated him, Roger still loved his family. It wasn't until Roger was 14 years old where he earned Nootau's respect. When Chogan and Nootau were scouting the growing town of Strawberry, not to far from their home, they were spotted by settlers. Trying to remain hidden worked against them, as they went on foot. Now they had to quickly make their way back to the horses. This gave those in pursuit a head start and they were gaining ground fast.. Roger was hiding near by, always trying to watch his mentors, to learn from them. When the commotion began, he saw the armed men riding full speed at his family. This wasn't the first run in with colonists, but this time Roger was terrified for his father and his brother. As scared as he was, something propelled Roger out into the open, his war club held out above his head and shouting wildly.. By the time he realized it was just the instincts of protecting his family, he was already in the line of danger. Chogan and Nootau immediately turned to try and help Roger but luckily, Roger's sudden emergence from his hiding spot spooked the horses. The closest horse skid to a stop, throwing it's rider forward into the ground with Roger diving out of the way. Then the horse and rider behind the first, immediately turned off the path dodging a collision but toppling over a small drop, rolling down hill into the foliage below.. Roger and his family got away and on that day his father and brother gave him the name Kitchi'achak(Brave spirit).

Thirteen years pass and Roger has become a man of 27 years old. His father is sick and frail, his brother is angry and vengeful. Roger had no choice but to deal with the nearby towns of Strawberry and Blackwater for medicine and odd jobs to keep society away from his bed ridden father.. He was given the name Roger Banton by a trusted contractor he worked with many times, which helped with his new life in the civilized world. His new connections and his heritage helped him assimilate much easier, in doing so he became educated. He also learned English, although the Algonquian languages he was taught as a child will always be his primary dialects. He also found love, if only for a short time, but then he lost it when he took a job from some stranger in Blackwater. The job was very risky but the money was too good to resist. When the job was done, Roger made his way back to town only to be arrested for a crime he couldn't have committed. He was then tried and convicted for murder and sentenced to be hanged. While Roger was in prison, his father's illness only got worse until he inevitably passed away in his sleep. With his father dead and believing that his brother had been executed, Nootau's anger only grew and then he became depressed. He had been slowly educated by Roger over the years, he knew some English and had learned invaluable knowledge of the civilized world. Unfortunately, Nootau could not adjust to the new way of life. It wasn't long before he fell in with a gang of outlaws and renegades. They tore a bloody path through the states of West Elizabeth and New Austin. By the time Roger broke out of prison, Nootau had become someone else and had risen to a high ranking member of his outfit. Commanding his own squad, Nootau launched a personal war on society itself. His gang would go on to haunt the region for decades to come..

During those six months of incarceration, Roger was alone and awaiting his death until luck leaned in his favor once again. He was sprung free by Mr. Horley and then introduced to Ms. LeClerk. Once Roger was allowed to head out on his own, he quickly went back to his father and found his burial site. After he mourned his loss, he aided Ms. LeClerk to get closer to the people who murdered her husband, which could be the same people who ruined his life.. The world had slowly taken everything from Roger ever since he was born yet still he stands strong. All the lessons and skills his father and his brother had taught him and everything he learned in between, it all helped mold Roger into a master survivalist and hunter of both animal and man. He helps those who ask and he punishes those who cause harm. Roger has nothing left in this world besides redemption, and he will stop at nothing to achieve balance.
