Not really.. They can be used to find animals when hunting, maybe to scan for special items, but I bought them a long time ago and used them once. I usually use them for looking for treasures. They show up at a greater distance then with eagle eye, so I get up on a rise and look around in the search area. It's the easiest way to tell visually without straininig your eyes for the model #. The model # should be CUH-7200. Anyway, seeing that I didn’t renew my subscription for ps plus since 2020 started, been playing Pokémon and Animal Crossing and Skyrim instead, I’m actually... well, not impressed or astonished per say, but seeing everything being just as I left it over eight months ago invoked a feeling in me. And my camp spawned in my favorite spot, just by Beecher’s Hope near the border between Tall Trees and Great Plains. Seeing the countryside brimming with wildlife in populated sessions was nice, and no random disconnects either, but... wow, am I bored, because I’ve just stuck to literally the exact same routine I’ve done before, which is hunting a bunch of animals and waiting for Cripps to turn them into goods. As much as I appreciate the game functioning as anyone would expect... I seriously don’t f*cking care for roles, I’ve never progressed past Level 8 for Moonshiner, and I don’t think I’ll bother with this naturalist role. What happened to Horley and Mrs. LeClerk, or even Tom Davies and Samson Finch? I nearly forgot their names, and it seems Rockstar forgot their existence. I want the new content to be about THEM, not more ways to waste our time grinding for ridiculous flashy clothing and hideous horse saddles. Let’s see how long this return of mine will last.
