Apparently you don't get products for stealing, you get materials.

Not such a great deal, IMO, not that I'd ever do it regardless.

On the plus side, I did get the chance to revive another player's horse the other day!

He had some trouble with some NPCs I guess, I didn't see it as I was in a house collecting some stuff.

When I came out, he was downed and his horse was critically injured.

I raced over, but he gave up before I got there, but I did get to save his horse.

He came over and waved thank you, I waved back.

It feels good to help out, maybe it wasn't really necessary, but then again it's possible he didn't have any revivers.

I always carry a bunch, and since they were free recently I've got loads in my lockbox.

I saw some videos and it is really only raw materials, now that's a rather bad mechanic, 10-60 units of materials depending of the wagon type.

Considering if is the Bigger Trader Wagon = 60 Products.

2Mt / 1Sp = 1 Pr

60 Materials = 30 Products/Goods.

1 full Supply bar = 25 Supplies.

1 Product per 2 min = 30x2. ~1 to 1:30 hours. because resupply runs/buy.

Need to buy/do 2-3 supplies run, 60 Materials worth like 80 dollars. if buying $80 - ($20x2) = $40.

HIGH QUALITY MECHANIC™

Some of my very first friends in RDRO and GTAO, some which actually lives close to my house (one of my friends made a BBQ just to celebrate and unite the homies IRL) were made in these kinds of situation, also i started to get involved, learn, talk and use english because of old GTA SA-MP, MTA and GTA IV-MP, so non-ironically being helpful in games helped me in many ways. (also many vintage car manuals sold in newsstands were in english).

now that you lads mention trader sales, I've found a relatively trouble free way of doing it. get your camp to gaptooth bridge when you're ready to sell, that way even when you're doing a distant sale you always travel in new austin. new austin is a pretty flat place so no danger of wagon being destroyed. besides player count in any given time in new austin compared to the new map is pretty low

Is it not better to put your camp in Gaptooth then fast travel to other side of map and do bountys and stuff for a short while so the game spawns all player around you?

Is it wrong?

Yes, I know this is the RDO board but the situations in the video apply to online as well.

Which ability cards do you people like? I run with

- Paint it black

- Unblinking eye

- Strange medicine

- Eye for an eye

This is a very OP combo for PVE as you can spam headshots with paint it black and never run out of dead eye if you're efficient because unblinking eye + eye for an eye

Strange medicine takes care of all your healing needs, you won't die unless you're completely surrounded by enemies

Not a single one.

My son loves all this crap though, so they definitely appeal to the target audience. 🤣🤣👹

(Must add, that's not a cheap pop at you Sentinel Driver. I just believe these are very childish and had hoped for better than that for this game after GTA sold out to the kids, lol. Apologies if this does come across as a dig at you though).

I think they're fine. I mean wouldn't the gameplay be a bit too simple with all the weapons being so similar to each other without ability cards adding something to the mix?

You can combo them and get some quite op builds

I get what you mean here, but as the game is set in a simpler time, I'd be fine if it was all just simpler though.

That said, I'm not really a combat guy at all, GTA and RDR being the only combat gaming I do as all my other games don't really have any, lol. I auto aim everything as I'm crap at it and take no pride/care in shooting accuracy or any of that side of gaming, and I've my preferred weapons out there for when needs must. Guns/gunplay doesn't do much for me and in this game, I try to be sneaky or just avoid the combat stuff more and more, lol. I play a very passive game of it out there and enjoy relaxing with RDRO than getting stuck in.

I'm not against combat, gunplay, PvP etc. Just it's not my thing, and seeing it all get silly with these cards and stuff like explosive ammo, it just bores me to death to try learning more, lol. There's definitely a place for all that, just not in my game, I hate those cards and they put me right off even trying to embrace that side of these R* games, especially as here in RDRO it's more forced on me than ever with this one lobby for all pap. :)

To be fair, PiB is pretty essential for even dealing with birds flying their advanced aerobatics patterns after you fire one shot.

I can usually hit the first on, but anything after that is often pretty hard, and almost impossible in single player.

If the birds are gonna be unrealistic, apparently the player has to be too.

I generally use PiB, Gunslinger's Choice, Iron Lung or Peak Condition, and Unblinking Eye.

For races I switch PiB for Slip, and change Gunslinger's for Horseman.

Agreed here...what happened to reaction time, awereness and "pixel shooting skills"....youngsters nowadays just want to have it easy......

What guns do you usually run around with?

I do dual lemats (9+9 shots is nothing to laugh at)

Lancaster repeater (I've heard it is the most accurate, sometimes I swap to evan's because 24 shots without reloading damn)

Pump action shotgun (I used to use semi-automatic but I'm convinced that the pump-action is more accurate/has a better range, an amazing 1-hit range with PiB headshots in fact)

I was rocking a Single LeMat at first because of the versatility then I bought a Semi-Auto Pistol because it was cheap. I hated the S-AP for its looks in RDR1 and never used it on SP but after I customised it to my own liking (silver plated with gold inlay) I love it. I paired that with a double barrel Shotgun on my back until I bought a second S-AP last week and I am rocking the dual wield gunslinger look. No long weapons just my pistols.

for sidearms I usually use two navys or two mausers. if you use pib nothing is better than mausers, I only use navy if I ran out of pistol ammo
lancaster is good enough, evan has much less damage in range unlike lancaster. litchfield cant hit unless used with pib
carcano or bolt action rifle depending on the situation. as soon as there's pvp I call my horse and change the slot to carcano, otherwise I use bolt action for that slot. comes in handy while hunting, but it's just too slow and doesn't hit a lot harder to compansate for the lack of speed compared to lancaster

I stow navy revolvers, pump action shotgun, varmint and carcano rifles and bow on the horse

2 LeMats, Carcano with scope, and Varmint rifle of course.

I used to use the bow a lot for hunting, but have gotten lazy with it.

Occasionally I'll use the semi-auto shotgun for resupply missions or other close in fights, or if I am traveling through wolf country, or the double barrel for bears.

Why mauser instead of semi-auto pistol?

I've been thinking of running dual sawn-off + lancaster + carcano so I can have it all in the same setup. A shotgun, a mid range weapon and a sniper.

Too bad that dual sawn offs have a bad range + only 4 shots and it takes too long to reload. They absolutely destroy in close range but you really don't need to put that much damage into a single target that often

I also don't think that a sniper is too useful in PVE. Snipers are very godlike, borderline mandatory for good pvp, you'll get destroyed in freemode pvp without a sniper. But PVE? name me a pve situation or a mission where a sniper is needed. I can think of just one, come hell come high water (moonshiner story mission with the boat)

Why not dual LeMats? They have an inbuilt shotgun and if you need more than two shotguns blasts you are doing something wrong and you have handguns.

I like to use loadouts depending of my playing pace or if i'm playing with friends.

My Loadout: General Use (since i sometimes only play 20-60 mins and overall use in FR Sessions.

- 1 Double-Action Revolver.

- 1 Schofield Revolver.

- 1 Mauser Pistol. (If they Launch the M1899 Pistol in RDR Online, i will swap ... in my two loadouts.).

- 1 Semi-Auto Pistol.

- 1 Evans Repeater.

- 1 Litchfield Repeater;

- 1 Varmint Rifle.

- 1 Bolt-Action Rifle.

- 1 Rolling Block Sniper Rifle.

- 1 Semi-Auto Shotgun.

My Loadout: FR Events, playing with Friends, PVP or Competitive Modes.

- 2 Navy Revolvers. (Off-Hand Holsters, Consistent damage).

- 2 Volcanic Pistols. (Off-Hand Holsters, Consistent damage).

- 1 LeMat Revolver. (Useful in CQC, because dual mode and consistent damage as revolver).

- 1 Scoped Lancaster Repeater. (It is the more complete Repeater around, so i kept this for a nice change of pace depending of the my build).

- 1 Scoped Springfield Rifle. (Since it is useful in Trade Route/Improvised sniping role, also i can use high-velocity with it, while using express in the Carcano).

- 1 Carcano Sniper Rifle. (RoF saved me in PVP situations, so i took out the Rolling Block).

- 1 Pump-Action Shotgun. (Being honest, this shotgun feels more reliable than all others shotguns in combat).

LeMat shotguns suck. I never use them unless I want to f*ck around like do a close range execution with a revolver to an enemy. Fun to see their head blasted off when you have shotgun mode on.

Pretty sure they are the same as the Sawn-Offs just with less barrels.

has more ammo and better when you do pib + headshot combo

yeah shotguns are cool but like you said they have their limitations. pistols also have their limitations, they're not that useful if used without pib. that's why I keep navys, they are pretty good all around

that's why I usually have bolt action rifle on that slot and carcano stowed on horse. you pretty much don't need that range in pve, and because I have strange medicine

only advantage of lemat over navy revolver is ammo capacity, they are inferior to navys in every sense. and frankly I didnt feel the need to use its shotgun for the most of time

A headshot is a headshot, even the .22 Varmint Rifle will kill in one headshot, any revolver coupled with Express Ammo makes them the same. Once mastered there is not much between the LeMat and Navy's other stats.

Only 2 shots with LeMat shotguns + their long ass reload time + the time it takes to switch to shotgun mode and then back to revolver mode.. They just aren't that useful

I used to run around with dual navies for a long time, idk why I decided to switch to Lemats exactly but now I've grown to appreciate their 9-round capacity so going back to 6-round navies wouldn't just do it for me.

I'll have to try dual mausers sometime. Dual semi-autos are fun because they fire so fast but since you can carry only 100 pistol ammo they're a bit impractical

I dont know, usually when I bodyshot with navys it takes two shots but with lemat it takes at least three.

Sorry, I only learned about this recently but as you kill enemies with new weapons their stats will go up very slowly. I think its full at two hundred kills.

When I say new weapons I mean weapons you have never owned before. Once you start using it its stats will slowly creep up per kill. My LeMat (with upgrades) has full accuracy and insane range.

If I'm walking around with sidearms only and no longarms (city dress) then my sidearm is a Volcanic pistol. When strapped for a fight I'll put on the Navys and a longarm on the shoulder.
