if you want to explore, you should open the collector map on a second monitor and get all your collections. this will take you across the map and will make you bank while you're at it

Has anyone been getting jumped by a lot of cougars lately? Within a few hours I ended up taking down six pristine cougars. Got my wagon carrying all but one.

I got lucky and ended up in a session that never went above 10 players. Set up camp near Marston's place in Great Plains and killed about 5 of them in an hour or so. Saw about 3 bears too. 

 

Left the session to do the daily for moonshine story missions, actually thinking they had lowered the player count to increase animal spawns (it was after the servers went down for a bit), but next session was 20+ and everything back as it was.

I want to get into the Moonshiner role but don't have much desire to pony up for trader--is it a prerequisite to Moonshining or can I find a posse somewhere doing a delivery and help them out?

I wish this was happening to me. Shoot I barely see any animals. My go to Cougar spawn has been dead for a while now. I used to get them to spawn not problems whatsoever

Yesterday 2x in a short period at great plains.

And wolves 5x random places.

Only the ones in that random event where you've got to save the NPC.

The cougars in that mission are f*ckin OP. One took 2 bolt actions to the face and didn't flinch.

I'd say Trader is worth it purely for the satchel upgrades.

 

You can carry a sh*t ton of meat now thanks to it and Moonshiner!

Instead of the measely 10 Big game meat from killing crocs, you can take back a whopping 30!

That was me; and yeah, I know--my big talk about how I won't buy RDO, but I managed to sell my PS4 copy on eBay for a decent amount, so I bought RDO on Steam sale ($47), as I figured it wasn't costing that much in the end.

 

My low rank is due to no transfer from PS4, so I've started all over again; though I got lucky and gained a much better looking character this time.

 

I'm also interested in personally seeing how "mod" menus affect the game and how badly R* handles it (like GTA Online).

 

But yeah, if you spot me in a session, approach slowly--I don't trust anyone in these games unless I know their source, especially if I don't recognize their name. lol (Ran into a guy with godmode last night, so... yeah.)

 

I'm not surprised with the amount of old bugs from the PS4 that still haven't been fixed in the PC version, plus a bunch of newly-broken stuff.

It is a sh*t reward. Might as well just buy the stuff and Bounty Hunt or fish in the time the mission takes and make double the money you spent.

I didn't actually see you, just your name on the list.

So if I forget to be super cautious and you shoot me, no biggy.

I find player names only appear when you're quite close, a little more distance would be nice.

I shot at one guy yesterday when he rode through the middle of my resupply 'catch the wagon' mission.

 

It'll be good to see someone from GTAF online, though I think the chances are not so large, since I haven't seen some players I've encountered afterwards.

^^ Likewise! I tend to move around quite a bit, but you'll almost never find me in north western Ambarino though... can't stand snow IRL or in-game.

Of course, I rarely venture to the desert, mainly out of convenience, usually between Heartlands and St. Denis.
