You can break the lock boxes open with a rifle butt, get up close and you’ll get an option to bash it open. Horses won’t do sh*t and you’ll save 90 odd dollarydoos. Lock breaker is pointless at the moment.

Well, that was a grind.

I'm going back to hunting now. All Ability Cards unlocked. I only want 2 horses and a saddle for each from what is currently left to unlock, so no need to rush it.

So, do people not realize Stranger Missions are PvP activities, or do they never so much as glance at the minimap, or have I accidentally activated some stealth glitch on myself? Seems like 95% of the time I just ride up on them directly, shoot 'em down and do whatever comes next. They're rarely even facing me as I approach, let alone taking shots to try and fight me off. 

 

Even people who end up being capable fighters as they come for revenge afterward seem frequently to get caught totally off guard. What gives?

Has anyone done the stranger mission from James Langton called "Early release"?  I walked up to him and it showed that,. mission which I had never seen or heard of before so I accepted.  It went into the cut scene and he goes on to tell that some prisoners are being transported by wagon and you need to break them out.  It sounded like the way our characters story began.  Of course as soon as the cut scene ended the mission was bugged and never started. DAMN!  It seemed like it was going to be fun too.

It is a fun mission indeed but it might be the buggiest one I've encountered which is saying something. Lots of variety in the ways it can go wrong too. Aside from the standard failure to launch, I've had the prisoners refuse to get out of the jail wagon, had them get out but then refuse to follow anybody, (they're supposed to 'partner' with a posse member and get on the back of their horse,) had them partner with someone but then get on the horse of a dead escort bounty hunter and just sit there, had them spontaneously switch partners and play musical horses while under fire... not to mention times where the cops just spawn on top of you and blast the poor bastard before you can even react.

 

But yeah, it really is a goodun when it works! Feels like real outlaw sh*t.

I have a question, I want to know if I bought the ultimate edition for Red dead 2, would I still be able to get the bonus content for it even though I already started playing it? I borrowed a buddies red dead 2 and I loved playing solo and online. I want to get the online bonus content.

I'll be kinda pissed if they discount all the guns. Only gun I don't own in the Rolling Block. However, if they discount horses/stables I'll be totally happy with that but we all know that ain't happening

Just checked the catalogue, sale on Tonics has been removed but nothing else discounted that I can see.

Sounds like a clever bunch of lads. Wouldn't worry too much about the mission not working, I have a feeling they wouldn't adapt to life on the run too easy anyway.

How do you get treasure maps from gang hideouts and ambushes? Is it simply by looting the leader or is it hidden somewhere?

The rare shotgun - is it a limited time thing? The way they talk about it in the catalogue makes it sound like that, but I don't think it was mentioned by Rockstar.

 

If it is, I might get it before it goes. If not, then it can wait.

If it's says "exclusive", then it's gotta be? I think it's there for clothing as well. "Exclusive outfit". I might buy 'em then, just in case they disappear.

I've got a feeling it might be a limited time item. I'm skipping it either way to avoid weapon wheel clutter.

 

If our camps had a weapon safe to allow customized loadouts I'd probably get one just as a collectors piece.
