Kirk Lazarus
So wait... after finally getting to one of the limited Fast Travel spots, it costs you a pretty penny to go anywhere AND wipes all your stacked pelts without any warning?? I hope RDO evolves to simply being RDR2 with other players. Grinding out all these little rewards 100x longer than Singleplayer is draining for casual players. Callahan44
You dont even mentioned the best part,if you buy the fasttravel upgrade for i think 700$ you still have to pay. I just never use it. If you wanna fast travel just leave the session and join a new one in the region you want to be. Extremly stupid but effective sadly. DLKnives
Yea I found out the hard way that pelts and stuff don't make the trip, so now I only hunt after I fast travel. Kirk Lazarus
ThaBirdCoot
Before knowing this, I was kinda suspecting it already, now I will never try it. So, thanks for the heads up I guess. Obviously R* just don't want you to make money fast, I think it is quite clear by now. DentureDynamite
Gandalf In Space
It costs me $10 to shoot to the other side of the map when I load in, but it sure as hell makes me a lot of money in uninterrupted free roam missions, hunting and fishing, butcher runs, etc. DonnieVega and DentureDynamite
Fugitive21
What I hate is looking at an area on the map and see no pink dots...Ok fast travel to it. Pay the fee and Boom pink dots everywhere...waste of money. rusbeckia, DentureDynamite and Poggy
IKilledMyHorseAgain
Its real dumb your pelts dont come with you, burned me once as well. Figured it would be like taking a stage coach in single player but nah, you lose everything. Add that on top of basically zero content and online is quickly becoming a bust in my book. What exactly have they been doing for the last 6 years?? DentureDynamite

This also leads me to do hunting expeditions in New Austin in an East-to-West direction so I can end up at the only butcher in the province (seriously...how is there no butcher in Amadillo?!?) and then I'll session jump back to Lemoyne. I'm a huge fan of Fast Travel as long as it pays for itself and lets me earn money in peace and quiet--and without losing my pelts and carcasses. But like Fugitive21 noted, Fast Travel is only helpful when you don't end up with other players suddenly popping up in your area--always a danger in RDO (if Rockstar doesn't add invite-only sessions). BTW, anybody know why the Fast Travel post keeps changing back and forth from St. Denis to Lagras? I hope it's a bug, and that both St. Denis and Lagras permanently have Fast Travel posts. Hmm; you should "only" be losing pelts and carcasses (sides and top/back of horse)--you shouldn't lose anything you hunted that you can store in your stash... ...or am I missing something? Now I'll have to pay attention when I am in the area. DentureDynamite

They just appear or disappear, the icon on your map. I couldn't find fast travel post icon in saint denis, so I had to manually find it. I knew where it was thou and found it. Also posted bug report. Poggy
What gets me is that I paid for a fast travel post at camp. Didn't realise it was gonna cost me 15 a time to travel there!! Cripps wins again, that evil troll! DentureDynamite

It's just sending the wrong message to Rockstar don't you think? EDIT: never mind, I'm a idiot, I thought it cost like over 100 gold bars for some reason Edited January 4, 2019 by DonnieVega

Ryan5252
I start all my hunting sessions in New Austin, pick up the cougar head to Tumbleweed and sell in butcher and then use the post just on the edge of town. Pays for my fast travel (with change) to a deserted, griefer free Annesburg ($12) and start my journey south to hunt. DentureDynamite
