woggleman
I still have a Colecovision from when I was a little kid that still works great. It actually looks pretty good as well plus I have the adapter that lets you play Atari games. How did they not get sued for that? FemmeFatale
Nintendo 64, damn I have a lot of fond memories playing it as a kid. Also, experience has taught me that it's much less fragile than the newer gen consoles that I own. Seriously, one little bump, and my 360 is like "Help! I've fallen, and I can't get up!" smfh. Laker23
For me personally, probably the Nintendo 64. My grandfather still has a Magnavox Odyssey which I used quite often when I was a kid, still works as far as I know. Coleco
Shaytan
When I was a kid I played pretty much PC games only, so I didn't had a console until much later when I got an NDS (one of the earlier models, which not only still works but is also in really good condition and the original battery still holds the charge no prob, despite playing the heck of it back in the day). In high school I bought a GameBoy Color of a colleague which still works fine, making it the oldest system I own that still works. The shell is quite beaten up and I planned on restoring it, something I ended up never doing. I've considered (and had several great opportunities) to buy two of my favorite Nintendo generation consoles that I've played a lot through emulators - the Super Nintendo and the N64 - but in the end of the day not only the base price of an unit in good shape but also the games, cables and other accessories needed to make everything work and be enjoyable always made me walk away, there's already plenty of stuff for me to burn my money on. Algonquin Assassin
A PS2 I've owned since 2002. Well it's been a few years since I played it and it was working then. It's only been stored away so it would probably still fire up.

I had a launch edition PS2 I bought on launch day and it lasted until 2016. I then managed to find one of the slims without the power brick at a flea market that had only been played once. There is a retro video game shop at this market and the guy managed to find about 20 of these days from a place that was closing down and liquidating it's stock and he tried each of them to see if they were working. It still had that new console smell when I opened it. Algonquin Assassin

JON22
I own a used SNES that I bought about 9 years ago. Haven't used it in a while but I bet if I set it up it would still work, along with the games I bought for it. Also have a used Sega Megadrive that I bought just for the fact I never owned one as a kid. Hardly used it but it works. My used Xbox 360 I bought ten years ago still works. Never had the red ring of death but the tray sticks if no disc is in it.
DEALUX
Technically the Commodore 64C. I have a compatible gamepad for it now but I need some adapter to connect it to my modern monitor. Second oldest is the PS2. I never was part of that generation of consoles and I honestly kinda hate the PS2 with it's sh*tty inferior hardware (compared to the original Xbox). Ivan1997GTA
The original Xbox that I've had since 2004 still works fine. Of course, the disc tray becomes stuck if there's no disc inserted, but a mild bashing on the drive fixes that problem. Coleco

Coleco
I have a Fairchild Channel F that is still fully functional (as of November 2018). The F stands for Faithful, it seems I love the Videocarts - both the games and the woodgrain style aesthetics are such a product of their time. It's still got its original box although the RF cable has been replaced a few times. Few other honorable mentions (because I am a massive nerd): I have a Magnavox Odyssey 2 that still works, despite it's shoddy design. KC Munchkin is the only game I really played on it though. Got a six-switch woody Atari VCS and a Sears Telegames version too, though the latter was converted to use composite output so it's not 'original'. My VCS still has its original box. I assume the Telegames would be the older of the two. Mattel Intellivision (with slightly temperamental voice module) ...and yes, of course I own at least one working ColecoVision. Because it would be a crime for me not to Got the expansion module and also a European version of the console, which I call the Eurovision. Sorry, I couldn't help it. Wow... DarksunDaFirst
I have a Sega Master System. It was the first console I ever owned (well, bought for by my parents for Christmas when I was 7). Now this isn't that original console, that one burnt out in the late 90s. However I bought one from a retro gaming shop in King of Prussia Mall about 10 years ago. I still had about 20 of the 50+ cartridges and cards from my childhood, and was able to secure some more. So here is my list of games as well: Afterburner Shinobi Pro Wrestling (go Orient Express!) Altered Beast Wonderboy in Monsterland Wonderboy III: The Dragon's Trap Alex Kidd in Miracle World Alex Kidd: High-Tech World Spy vs. Spy (card) Gangster Town (need a gun, which I don't have at the moment) Govellius (pretty much Sega's Zelda) California Games Double Dragon Rastan Ghostbusters King's Quest: Quest for the Crown Castle of Illusion (Mickey Mouse) Monopoly Montezuma's Revenge Psycho Fox Rampage Penguin Land Casino Games And saving the best for last: 24 & 25. Phantasy Star - I have two copies, one which Is still sealed that I bought years later at a flea market for $40....originally the game cost around $100 in 1987. That sealed copy, if I ever sell it, is the one collector's item of gaming that I own that I actually care about because it actually has collector's value. It's hard to find working copies of many of these games, but Phantasy Star is the JRPG that pretty much defined what JRPG's were to be for the next 20+ years.
