Tonesta Posted January 2, 2019 Share Posted January 2, 2019 Most of the deaths were pretty sudden, and followed immediately by lots of gunfire - there wasn't much time for an emotional goodbye. Sean, Hosea, Lenny, Susan, Kieran - true for all of them. Molly wasn't really that sad at the time, because everyone thought she had betrayed them. Eagle Flies - with the final ride, and bringing him to his father - was definitely sad, but he wasn't part of the gang. Not as heartbreaking for Arthur (and, after six chapters, I felt like I was Arthur). But Arthur's horse? The rushing to her side....the comforting.....the beautifully understated 'Thank You' after all the time they spent together. Perfectly judged to pull at the heartstrings and the saddest moment of the game by a country mile! But I’ll have to go with Hosea, because by that point, we know that the gang is spiraling out of control. We also know that Hosea was like the glue that held it all together (including Dutch’s ability to think with logic and reason for at least some time.) The horse scene wasn't as touching because my main horse got smacked in the ass by a train not long before tbe last mission. All deaths in the game had an emotional impact on me. The characters all grow on you in their own way. It made me feel exactly like The Walking Dead.
