Second Love Interest? Cracked Files?

I don't know how Rockstar works or how datamining works only for Blizzard so question if the game comes out on PC, will the files be cracked and will we know who his second love interest if people were to crack the files? Do you think Rockstar will ever reveal themselves who it was?

It depends on how much leftover files they forgot/didn't bother to remove. I'm certain we'll find references cut content in the files, but whether or not it's this thing specifically we don't know.

No cutscenes right cause that'd be impossible right?

It feels like it was simply his former lover Mary Linton.  There could've been more missions with her instead of just her showing up, you saving her brother, then her showing up again to save her dad, then leaving.  That would make the most sense... give Arthur and her more time together so when she finally mails him that last letter with her ring, it's a harder punch to the heart.  Maybe that ring was him proposing to her and she eventually rejected him.  The letter was only a bunch of text which is the easiest thing to re-write when you have to chop out and patch book ends to a story arc.

Arthur says that he knocked up a waitress or something similar. And he had a son with her. If I recall correctly, he says it in a conversation with Rains Fall. He also references it in the cutscene where he says that he's afraid.

Just imagine if all those weird gay cowboy sex fantasies turned out to be true..... Nah.... Couldn't be..... But then again, Charles Chatney kissed Arthur and he didn't mind too much....

I don't think that was his love interest. 5 hours of content with Eliza wouldn't be enough for a huge backstory like that.

There was a topic discussing recently that it was Abigail. Which would have gone a longer way to explain the division between John and Arthur, but if I recall there wasn't much there for any sort of proof or credibility. Just having to take some-ones word for it.

 

And while I'm not against same sex relationships or Arthur going both ways.

I really don't like the idea of Charles because really? Strikes me as lazy writing and character creation.

 

Half Black, Half Indian AND gay?  How much do you need to pile onto one character? Complicated characters are one thing, but that crosses a line into needlessness.

Bill is likely gay. That works fine. It's his burden, secret, or whatever.  I'd say nothing about the 2nd love being Bill. Sure, why not?

 

But i would be dissapointed if the R* writers had felt the need to make Charles the 2nd love interest.

Yes. There was a post recently about that, which is what I was trying to reference. I had thought there were Non Disclosure agreements out there so the Actor would not be able to have said. But I'm operating on at best 3rd hand information and am not a lawyer. Also, I don't even remember if there was video / audio evidence of his statement, or if we were just having to believe whomever said "He Said... "

I "has" to be Charles only in the sense that one of the supposed "leaked" or "revealed" statements released by an ex R* employee said specifically it was. <among a long list of other pretty detailed , specific , and some outright odd claims >

 

And I brought it up because I wanted to respond to Cutter De Blanc 's 's reference to that.

He said he would laugh. I wanted to share that I would not laugh and would be disappointed.

 

I personally don't think the source had any credibility and that it is most likely not Charles. But if it were....

I always thought it was Sadie but recently during that momo con Q&A, Rogar Clark mentioned it was Abigail. I would never of guessed that and I'm glad they cut it. Abigail and John are perfect, no need to mess with that. I also like the relationship between Abigail and Arthur as it is in the game, it's a brother/sister type relationship. At one point he considered getting involved with her as he writes in his journal but you can tell just before the events of the game and the events of the game itself, it's a brother/sister type thing.
