This guide is great, a big help in my current 100% skin/scan run. Really nice job, well put together.

Kind of crazy that we're coming up on 15 (nearly 20 for me) years here at this site. 😲

Glad you liked the guide, and yes, time flies when you’re having fun! I first arrived here to seek help with getting GTA IV to work on the PC (an infamously problematic port) and was instantly impressed with the knowledge of the community. It’s nice to feel I’ve given something back when people post positive things about this guide and others.

So after 3 years and 2 months I finally managed to 100% complete RDR2. Boy, what a ride it was!

I took my sweet time with it, before finally settled my mind on trying myself with the 100% completion. I sincerelly believe that I would not been able to reach this achievement without your guide! It is well written, easy to understand and to top it off, there are video guides if you are stuck somewhere. I couldn't even imagine how hard and metodiculous could have been making this guide, but hats off to you! It is one of the best guides I have ever seen for such a big game as this.

Sorry for rambling, long story short, Thank you for your contribution to this community, and thank you for helping me achieve one of the biggest achievement of my gaming career :)

I'm in the midst of a 100% runthrough and taking my time to be deliberate myself this time.

I also wanted to see how far %-wise one could complete before leaving Chapter 2. I haven't found out yet but I estimate it should be close to 50% or so. I'm hovering at 44.7% with four missions left (I believe they're 1 % point each) and I'm jamming through Challenges in earnest as well. Anyone know what the max is to end Ch 2? I want to remain on pace.

I’ve never worked out the maths but you can do most things in CH2 apart from the following IIRC

1) the story missions obviously

2) finishing the hunting requests

3) the bandit challenges (until the horse fence is unlocked in CH4 you can only get to #5)

Also getting all the dinosaur bones, legendary fish, and herbalist 9 require you to get into New Austin. Whilst it’s not impossible (I show herbalist 9 as Arthur in a video above), it’s real pain and I don’t want to ever try again. Sharpshooter 9 is also much easier if you’ve unlocked deadeye further in Urban Pleasures in CH4.

Can you do horseman 10 as Arthur? Or are there horses only in New Austin you need to break?

You can technically get them all in unlocked areas, but there are better spawn points on the Great Plains and New Austin. To get the Hungarian Halfbred as Arthur I got Strawberry Law to chase me over the border as that stops the Pinkertons from spawning and broke the horse while they were shooting at me.

Horseman 9 is the real trick as Arthur...

Update: I have confirmed you can hit the 50% completion threshold when leaving Chapter 2.

Just in case anyone was curious!

Should have looked some of these first...didn't manage to get 100% yet, maybe this will help when I get back to it. I don't think I will try 100% again though when replaying story mode, don't feel like doing that again.

I also missed the quest items before characters died.. and few more side missions that weren't appearing.

great guide so far (I'm in the middle of chapter 2) and I think the quality will not fall off, but what I'd add so far is getting the white Arabian just around Flaco Hernandez,

if I remember it right the only really tricky challenge is herbalist 8 as you have to go to use tricks to block the invisible sniper in new austin. Any other challenge has the pinkertons around blackwater as the main problem (or your sanity in blackjack)

Herbalist 9 is the one

Quick question since I'm at the tail end of a playthrough: I'm in Epilogue 1, and my honor is stuck in the middle.

No positive or negative actions impact it. Is there a certain trigger mission that 'turns it back on' so to speak? I don't recall this being an issue previously.

I’ve often wandered if it’s bugged as it doesn’t seem to change much whatever you do. But I have got a massive honour boost as John for finding Rains Fall at Annesburg Station. Either that definitely turns it back on, or if you don’t get a boost, it’s bugged. Possibly it doesn’t change until after you complete the story.
