CadillacBachelor
On the map, there is an etching of a dog/wolf and a man figure on the northwest of Strawberry (west grizzlies?). (I can't find a picture/anything online, haven't remember to try to take a photo/screenshot myself.) At first sight, I thought this was the "wolf/feral man" I had heard about, but then I found him in the east grizzlies. I was up in that area looking for the old lady that the camp says is sitting on some valuables, instead found the hermit lady with the map. XAIKON
Pretty sure your talking about the location of the hermit woman, it gets marked on the map as a witch-like figure with a dog. I guess this is because she has multiple guard dogs, and looks like a witch, as arthur describes in his journal. You really should include a pic if you want help from such a vague description friend! Couldn't agree more. I keep thinking there must be some other purposes or dialogue to be found, but other than the map, I cant figure out what to do when I encounter her. I did get one strange encounter with her. I used the bate on her dogs to make them leave like I did with the wolves. Then ran up and hogtied her. As I started to ride away I thought I'd let her go. So, I turned around and cut her free. The strange part is this... Every other time I cut her free she started shooting at me. However during this encounter, as I was in the process of tying her up I managed to knock the shotgun from her hand. Then I picked up the gun. That way when I let her free there was no gun she could use. But I didn't get anything extra out of the encounter, other than her telling me to get the hell off her land and to leave her be. ...After that she just stood there. That's how I got this clip of her not shooting at me lol... Edited January 4, 2019 by Deadman2112
CadillacBachelor
Dang, okay. What a disappointment. Anybody know what the large animal etchings mean? Not the legendary ones, either, but they're larger than the small size. I found one of a crayfish and another one of a boar near the southeast corner of the map. Urban Legends
No relevance to the size in which Arthur draws an animal or plant. Other than the density of other things in the area... I called her the rabbit lady when I snuck up on her.. Apart from her dogs there was like 10 rabbits/rodents running around when sh*t went sour. Very cool place.. Deadly woman.. She got hog tied....pretty sure I threw her in the house and ran away.

I believe you are referring to the animals you have hunted. The more you hunt, forage and explore in any given area, the more detailed the map becomes. ...as does your journal.
