Horse speed all the same.

Has anyone noticed that all horses has the same speed online?

So far I've tested Red Arabian - Black/white Hungarian - Brindle Thoroughbred. All the same speed. Acceleration seems to be correct, but horse speed definitely isn't.

Is this in freemode? Kinda stupid if it is because that stat becomes useless and stamina has the biggest value in the end.

I heard about this for Races which isn't all too bad if you had a Personal Horse/Stock Horse race option, but if it's in Free Roam and Online in general, that is ridiculous. What exactly is the point of buying a new horse with in-game money or gold bars if the stats don't make a difference. If this is true, than we're technically only paying for the appearance of our horse.

Yep. Not worth spending gold on. Not too much in this game I want. I have just about everything I need now and that's pretty sad. Hopefully the game gets better in January, in lots of ways.

Yes free roam, and pretty sure race as well since a red arabian kept up with my brindle.

But please try for yourselves w ur posse members and report back.

This means my 130$ hungarian is much better than my 18 gold brindle since it all comes down to health and temperement. Stam doesn't matter with my saddles

I actually kinda like hearing this.

I've been holding off on getting a big ass pick-up truck like horse for several reasons and one of them was that it would probably be completely useless in terms of forward motion.

I can now say that i'm 100% certain that hungarian halfbred, Thoroughbred, red arabian and brown turkoman all has the same speed.

Only noobs ride the arabian. Lol

No i dunno, it might just be those 4 horses then. It'd just suprise me if the paint is suppose to be faster than the brindle

clinical oppression

Check the stats on those horses , the red Arabian has just as good or better speed / acceleration stats than almost all horses up to the multi and elite Arabians . Didn't check everything but it looks like I'm keeping the red chestnut until I unlock the Turkoman.

No but you could if you're right. Cause the brindle is as fast as the sh*t arabian atm apparently.

I have checked the stats. The arabian i raced against had 5-6 speed and my brindle had 9 = same speed.

9 speed brindle versus (i think) 4 speed Hungarian = same speed. Only real difference atm is the temper, and the temper is why arabians are sh*tty noob horses.. all of them.

I overtook everyone in a race on my brindle. Almost all arabians. Dunno if they fixed it since i raced last time or if I was just slow. Haven't tested free roam again since last time.

What we need is a wild west version of Broughy1322 that is a horse enthusiast instead of cars.

Nah, we don't need another random somebody on YT who thinks they "know cars", to create the same crap misinformation for RDO.

Saddle type., stirrups or whatever also make a difference no?

Add in health and stamina, drain rates, regen rates, whether the other player fed or used a stimulant and it’s gonna be pretty difficult to do a comparison.

Way too many unknown variables for you to be sure if you’re horse was faster or slower then any of the others.

What I mean is my Arabian might be quicker than your Turk but slower than someone else’s for example.

In freeroam I mostly use a war horse. Mates use an Arabian and a Thorobred but I never get left behind.

The speed difference among breeds is minimal at best. My fully bonded Tiger Striped Bay Mustang is hardly faster than the sh*t horse you start out with. The difference is the stamina. I can run my mustang at full gallop across half the map which is much much longer than the sh*t starting horse, quite a bit longer than the Throughbred and a little longer than the Arabian. The best fully upgraded Missouri or Arabian would have more stamina and outlastt mine, but the speeds would be about equal. I choose the mustang because its not as much of a pussy around alligators and I like the way it looks more. I haven't unlocked the Missouri yet, but I'm almost there.

In SP there's a big difference between the different breeds imo. I love the mustang too. Except its size.

Suits Marston alot though

You can see the maximum potential on each horse. Speed: pretty sure max potential is 6 on the red arab and know its 9 on the brindle thoroughbred.

So the brindle should be 50% faster right? I reached 9 speed on my brindle thanks to stirrups(and bonding?), so it SHOULD wreck red arabians.. hell all arabians.. in a race

Yes we are of course :) but shouldn't online horse speed reflect sp? Like they shouldn't make the lancaster shoot buckshots or the cattleman shoot arrows online.

I hope they keep it this way. I'd rather have the horse I want than the fastest horse.

No mate. We need different classes of horses. U shouldn't be able to take your shire racing or your arabian clearing hideouts

I just don't want to see everyone out there with the same horses, everyone riding arabians.

I also noticed that stirrups doesn't increase stats either(Don't know if it was mentioned), so I just wasted 60 bucks on some stirrups that does nothing it says it does.

Hopefully just a bug though.

Me neither. But I think we'll see this:

Bunch of idiot noobs running around on arabians (just because they're classed as a superior horse), trying to grief or ruin our stranger missions. One gun shot or smell of danger and it'll buck the idiot noobs off and us wise pros on a proper warhorse will succeed. Horse classes is a game meta RDO would feel very empty without imo

Stirrups affects stamina drain. I can say with 100% certainty that they work and is the money worth

The ones I bought also increase speed and acceleration, but my horse is still stuck on 4 Speed and 3 acceleration, even though it should be +1 in both.

[EDIT] The Slimline Stirrup, the 59 dollar one, the first one to grant increased speed and acceleration.
