FreeMaxB585
Doing a 2nd play through. And used the white arabian the whole first game so want something different. Probably a war horse this time. I have a good amount of cash. But most horses I see are only 150$ and not that good. There is a $450 race horse. But dont really want that one cause of the low stamina Is there any stable I can access in chapter 3 that has a higher quality of horse like in the $800 or more range? Drake713
The white Arabian is the best horse you can get before ch4 Then it becomes the Black Arabian in ch4 (which is better than the white) and the Rose Grey Arabian in the epilogue (which is better than the black) But you can search for yourself here: https://www.gtabase.com/red-dead-redemption-2/horses Oh and War Horses have the exact same behavior as other horses as far as I could tell; they'll buck you just as fast around cougars/alligators/bears as the Arabian Edited December 27, 2018 by Drake713

Just as good as the Arabian but less spooky. Far less spooky. The arabian freaks every gun shot, every snake, every... thing. The foxtrotter does not scare at all. Even got attacked by a cougar and it just side stepped.

It does have 1 extra point of speed over the Arabian, but to get that it gives up a ton of other stats; stamina, health, acceleration, handling Edited December 28, 2018 by Drake713

Attacked by wolves and cougars and all it did was side step. Even on the horse wiki it states its the less spookable horse in the game. The arabian needs calming every gunshot. Highest stamina rating, highest health rating, highest acceleration rating, highest handling rating - other horses can tie it in these categories but no other horse has all of that at the same time, only category it is not highest in is speed, there it has the 2nd highest rating. To get the highest speed horse you aren't going to get anything close to what the Rose Grey Bay Arabian gives 11 hours ago, 3Prcntr said: Never happened to me. LOL, all the horses behave like that as long as you keep moving. My Missouri Foxtrotter kept making me want to shoot it when checking for Parakeet spawns in the croc infested swamps; it continually bucked me off, continually ran away screaming even when there wasn't even anything near it, continually refused my directions cause there was a predator near it. Thing is tho, that is the same behavior any other horse would have had, it is not just that the Missouri Foxtrotter is a bad breed of horse Dunno what you are doing on your Arabian, but I've never had any issues shooting from mine Edited January 2, 2019 by Drake713

To me it comes down to situational awareness, stability, and looks. To me, the war horse has great situational awareness. I can release the reins and the horse seems to just know what I want him to do. He always gets me in position to make the easy shot. I never pay off my bounties and have hunters on me everywhere I go. To be fair, I have not tried many horses to compare it with. Like I said, I've never noticed any behavior differences between horse breeds put in exactly the same situations I think bonding level affects "behavior" more than breed If you like your horse, then keep it. I like having max stats so I'll keep mine

He won't buck you off most of the time and the white Arabian is easy to acquire (though there are some stables where you can get pre-broken horses to spawn, including the Arabian horses).
