Soooo..... At first, this thread is like some joke stuff for vote-based forum clean-up. Then I take it that someone had a mental breakdown over this and said was spam posting gay porn here. Following that, some people eventually gone even worse with conspiracy theories and fake accounts.

 

I was gonna say I haven't voted for anyone, because I have better people to be in that list. I don't even know half of those enlisted and I don't really have that much problem with the rest so far.

I appreciate the laugh lol. This is what this thread is all about. Bullsh*tting back and forth and determining the good, bad, and ugly. Whichever roll you categorize as is up to you and anyone else on that list.

 

On a side note I'm not defending any mods at all. I've seen situations that I feel were handled poorly, but that's just my opinion. In terms of organization, I'd say the staff here are, for the most part, organized. I've participated in quite a few forums in the past and some of them had an absolute mess of a staff team.

I know I'm going to get a lot of sh*t for saying this. But this kind of sh*t is pissing me off. This shouldn't be done again. Innocent users are going to be banned because a few mods felt they deserve to be in a "banathon" as they call it. Not to mention a lot of users are choosing randomly who to ban because they have no clue what the nominees did. It seems to me the mods just did this because they couldn't ban us for legit reasons, because most of us didn't break any or much rules. It's for more personal reasons and I'm pretty sure that goes against their ban policy. But it doesn't matter, what's done is done I guess...

I'm pretty sure this whole banathon thing is just for a joke and for laughs. I'm also pretty sure that even if you do get banned, you can make another account to come back, and get a medal for it.

It's all fun and games. You lose your account, you can make a new one. It's no big deal. Competitions like this add a bit of spice and life to the forum. If I were on the list i wouldn't be bothered in the slightest.

The staff have explained the source for the list, in that people in the Discord room formulated the list from members who have broken the rules and done things to qualify themselves. Nearly nobody in the list will be banned, and those few who do receive the ban will (except in certain cases, I'd imagine) be allowed back aboard.

 

Though I'm of the mindset that this sort of game doesn't belong in a modern, consent-conscious community, and that bans should be doled out directly without any theatrics, I recognize that this is a game of much fairness. The users' actions did bring them into the list, and the chance for actual expunging is low, plus the staff will be going over the votes in the end to make sure there's been no funny business. When it comes down to it, only those who are deserving or needing of a ban, for whatever reason, are the ones who will be effected, and other members will be allowed back.

 

The unwarranted drama is born among users because of some misplaced importance. What is at stake is an exchangeable account on a Forum dedicated to a video game. It's uncomfortable that some higher power can meddle in a person's life, I understand, but goodness gracious, it's such a small thing. Better to leave it behind and relieve yourself of the stress if it's really causing so much.
