What is your Honor level at and why?

I've started off going for being as honourable as possible, peaking max honor in order to get the buckle that comes with it, as well as do the Gunslinger story missions. Later on, I tanked my honor to do the Outlaw story missions but then quickly began working my honor back up. 

 

However, just recently, I've decided to tank my honor once more to get the maximum dishonourable buckle, as well as for the fact that honor in RDO seems to just limit my capabilities of fun. I tanked my honor the same way I did beforehand, by engaging in shootouts with the cops in Saint Denis, while completely avoiding players. After I reached the bottom of the barrel once more, I've soon realized that the game is simply much more fun this way and I feel less limited to things. If an NPC annoys me, I don't have to worry about losing my "good boy" points by shooting them in the face. To put it short, I simply feel much more free playing as a max outlaw.

 

Though, what worries me, is that being dishonourable will make others immediatelly perceive me as a griefer, which isn't the case at all. I'm a completely friendly outlaw to anyone except the A.I.

 

What about you, though? Are you playing as a honourable or dishonourable person? And what's making you stay that way?

Honourable. I don't fight back in free roam. I don't farm cops.

Honor wise probably super villain but I dunno. I just like taking the dishonorable routes during story missions.

 

I kinda doubt anyone is even bothering to check if you're honorable or not. It's simply shoot on site. If you don't wanna be shot stay away.

I kill cops, griefers and executes the gang leader (once looted a treasure map off him). So i'm dishonorable. Was honerable all through the story but noticed there were no pros

I'm at max honour again, after tanking it to unlock the Outlaw story missions, just because I hunt lots, so I get the resourceful bonus often.

Currently dishonorable. Pretty much the only way to enjoy free-roam online right now. If I wanted to spend my free time hunting/fishing or whatever, i'd do it in single player. Doing that in online is a deathwish. When you play online, it's survival of the strongest, and honorable players are at the bottom of this food chain.

Maxed honor to get buckle, then dropped it to bottom to get other buckle, then it stayed bottom as I played killing NPCs for a bit, the. I hunted for a bit and it maxed out again ...  It really just depends on whether I'm hunting, or doing missions and killing NPCs.

I also maxed it at both ends for the buckles, now I'm sitting about halfway between neutral and maximum dishonour.  Been doing a lot of hunting and fishing while moving between Stranger missions so it's been slowly creeping upward. I've done both branches of the story so there's no reason to care where it sits now.

Dishonorable. Why ? Idk. There are these situations where my trigger finger just itches and I can`t control it, like when some stagecoach driver is blocking your way on a really tiny route; cussing at you on top of that. Or these god damn witnesses just lurking around every corner can't even fart without having someone run to the law.

That's exactly what it's like.  I murder a 100 people, but do a bit of hunting and I'm the most honourable guy you met.

I maxed both ends for the buckles, then dropped it back to one pip below half as the outlaw story missions are waaay better than the gunslinger ones.

 

Not actually playing Online anymore as a) there's pretty much nothing to do outside of PvP (you can only repeat the story & stranger missions so many times before getting sick of them) and b) tired of having to avoid players and constantly watch my back in case someone is rolling up on me.

Tanked mine all the way to maximum dishonor. I frequently choose the dishonorable choice in missions. I always execute the gang leader...

 

And I'm at maximum honor again. Why? I don't play like a dick in free roam. It's just that easy.

I'm two thirds of the way to Honorable.  I've never farmed cops or XP.  I played the original missions with high honor and reached max honor. But since then, when I first started replaying missions I would choose the dishonorable ending just to see.  I also hardley ever spare the Gang leaders at hideouts, but I hunt and sometimes fish.

I am max honor atm, I do the honorable choices in missions and I don't start fights just because... But that doesn't mean I won't pop you if I feel threatened. And NPCs who insults me, act rude or whatever may find themselves dying in creative ways. Last one got hogtied and deposited at some wolves. They died with their stomachs full(I wanted their pelts).

Kind evil, I kill NPCs constantly because i feel like it. I also do the dishonourable option most of the time as well so that helps.

The way I see it, if they shoot you even just once, they're asking for trouble anyway. Might as well give them what they're asking for.

Yep. Dont start none, wont be none!    

Maybe R* should give me honor instead of taking it away!!  Seems i am doing a great service teaching some of these players that their actions have consequences!!

I should add: I don't attack other players unless it is a friend messing around(we do with each other all of the time) or I was shot at or attacked first.  Even then I don't go after them, I try to stand my ground and defend myself until they go away, and if they don't I try to find some way to bait and annoy them.

It's fine, exploiting it makes up for the stupid sh*t like killing in self defense or cause some NPC c*nt tries to insurance fraud your horse

 

If any changes are to be made, they need to work out the player kills. If somebody's attacked you, don't lose honor

Y'all must be the biggest assholes. I tanked my honor to unlock the dishonorable story missions. I decided to try to keep honor at about halfway in case there were more missions that came out where I needed low honor. It's f*cking impossible. You get good honor for farting in the wind. I don't back down from a fight ever; my bodycount is healthy, and I'm constantly bouncing off the top of the Honor meter.

High honor for better prices. And also because if you have high honor and a posse takes a mission to take out another gang they will usually get sent after a lower honor gang. I once bought myself down to low honor to do the other story missions tho

 

Also my friends and I always check the server as to which posses have low honor. and if they get near us we dont take any chances and gun them down

I thought the lower prices were a Story mode only thing?

Infrared. I farmed cops in a hardcore grind. And I get shot in the back a lot. So I spawn rape the offenders.
