Can confirm that Torched is still there guys. Just unfortunate if you haven't had it pop up is all. Great lil' job.

 

In case unknown, set spawn location to the clubhouse and keep switching sessions or quit to story and back to refresh the wall, quite handy when plodding alone.

That's quite random, usually works a treat but I'll surely check tomorrow as I was doing bunker/crates/TB missions today. I hope they haven't been playing with it all though, I love those contracts. Definitely done Torched a couple of days ago and a couple last week with 2 buddies there then too.

 

Passed $70m for my first time, lol. Aiming for $100m by rank 1k. (Bit unrelated mind).

I broke my no crates rule today and made a ton of money.  I sourced 3 crates and then did Diamond Shopping.  After that sources 3 more crates, then Targeted Data.  Sources 3 more crates and then sold them--The cycle netted me around 320,000 each time and went pretty fast.

Did they add a cooldown timer to the TB? I thought if your returned and then requested it again, it was instant. Now there's a 4-5 minute timer. Am I hallucinating?

Also, I couldn't get it the spawn in my usual spot across from Tequila-la-la (for quick access to Diamond Shopping and Sentinels).

Snow is gone for me now, I didn't even log out, there was snow then I joined a heist and suddenly there was no snow during the heist

I keep on saying 'no more' since hitting the 1000 for the statue...

 

Just passed 1550 now though, lol. A great earner and easy plod, I can't write these crates off on a 2x for sure.

 

3 runs and an easy $250k. And with 5 warehouses, mixed with bunker sales at $420-$525k per, and $60k a pop on TB missions, just casually I made $5m in 2 days, bloody epic!

Wildfires would actually be quite interesting. It's easy enough to set fire to a hillside in game, but imagine if it just kept spreading and setting fire to trees, houses, and cars, with firefighters chasing it throughout. Even if you just used the existing game mechanics it would be more like California than the rain-soaked storm magnet we have today.

Well... I have spent about 50 Million on Arena vehicles. Mostly to make tribute vehicles... Stubby Bob, the RV from Hell, the last V8 Interceptor, Imortal Joe'sish monster truck, as well as a few other "Functional" arena vehicles.

My biggest issue is that they are not at all missile resistant therefore they are just another useless vehicle in the world of mkii dominance. It would be fantastic to be able to use them in city wide Arena vehicle battles but noooooooo they still have not nerfed the mkii. The last time I took one out I was on the road no more than 1 minutes before being blown up by a mkii.

So that's the end of a awesome and unbelievably generous event week(s)!  As always, my numbers are just modest but since I don't intend on owning everything they're quite big for me haha

 

I've jumped from a little under 9.5 million to 24.7 million during these weeks. I reckon that with a little more preparing beforehand and an Opressor Mk. II on my grinding arsenal I could have been a little closer to 30 million with the same effort, but I guess that will be for next time!

 

I've seen previous Festive Surprise events for the current gen, but always from the outside and this was my first time ever participating in the current gen version, but even so I believe that this was by far the best overall when you combine the bonuses with the special gifts and events we had. There was a little something for everyone, even newcomers got greatly useful gifts for getting started in LS

 

It's been a great time grinding, something I was even forgetting how it was, the money was great and I had a blast revisiting those dreadful Special Cargo missions with that enthusiasm I only ever have when it's payment is doubled The snow was back and along with it, its unique and breathtaking atmosphere that can make even a stroll around the countryside or a flight on a Dodo above the coulds a mesmerizing experience. I enjoyed it greatly and will surely enjoy the next just as much, if not more! Its rarity surely does wonders to how special it is 

 

Now I just wait for the Deviant, while sitting back and enjoying the little things in this game, staring at a horizon of uncertainty ahead... some say that Paleto Bay is great this time of the year I'd say that I agree, and it's time to pack it up and step away from the big city for a while!

Well said. I still miss the environs around the Paleto bay bunker. Chumash is easier but doesn't hold the memories for me that Paleto bay does not to mention its a great spot to park the yacht. I wasn't very fond of the snow myself because it was terrible visability. I'm happy to see the sun and moon sparkle on the water again. I think all told I pulled about 25 million this promo period. Not too shabby.
