New year resolutions for 2019

For those of you who couldn't care less about Christmas, why not starting a little earlier the preparations for the upcoming holiday? Last year's edition was very pleasing for me, at least, to go back quite recently and realize I've accomplished most of my set goals (and they weren't just "trying to survive through another year"...)

So, what are your resolutions for the new year, if you even plan on actually chasing them beyond the first week of January?

Starting off with me:

  • Succeed another year in college, so far so good at least.
  • Continue the progress of practicing sight reading on the guitar, which leads to...
  • Work on my song ideas for once.
  • Get good playing the Portuguese guitar which I began quite recently, should be good enough until June when, if so, I'll get to play a serenade at this week's graduation ceremony with the college's musical group.
  • Get back to my road cycling routine right at the beginning of Spring, it feels great getting back the habit of practicing sports after several years of sedentary lifestyle. And finally...
  • Begin to learn the Japanese language. I love the Japanese culture and I try to justify this goal I've had in my head for quite a long time with the possibility of eventually working in Japan for a couple of years, which I know to be quite unlikely BUT it is realistically possible, given my Laws degree and, well, the fact there aren't many people in the area who can speak Japanese around here. Overall I just wanted to and I've seriously considered this, I've already collected quality material to start off self-taught and, depending of my progress, later get classes and ultimately taking one of those universal language exams.

Going for that 4K Monitor, y'know...

Honestly? Nothing. I don't want to expect anything. I'll just see what happens...
I've been disappointed before for expecting things from life and from myself. Only to see life not deliver and me not achieve/do the things I wanted to. So... Nothing. :)

Well, don't wanna sound like your entitled motivational speaker from Yahoo Answers, but if you don't set goals for yourself, you won't really have anything to go for either. You can't expect life to deliver you anything, it's not like you just sit around and pray for stuff to happen and wait for the opportunities to knock at your door, right?

Don't set arbitrary goals for yourself. Don't wait until the 1st of January. Don't look down on others for not setting goals when you're already setting yourself an imaginary starting point that bears no real correlation to how successful you'll be. Start now and you'll be a week ahead of everybody else already struggling from the pressure!

I wouldn't say these two are resolutions as such, just something I will actively do and focus on throughout the year.

- Become a lot better at the Serbian language. Have a lot of trouble with it, but I need to apply myself a lot better and not get too frustrated with it.

- Spend as much time as humanly possible with my newborn. This is clearly something that goes way, way beyond this next year.

My new year resolution would be to find a new job, specifically one I actually  like, it's been a while since my last one.

Otherwise, I'll not set anymore goals, so I'll not be disappointed in case I can't make it happen.

Until 2019?, I mean since some months ago I start thinking what to do the next year.

For example, I was thinking to buy a drum kit again to do some covers songs on Youtube and maybe some own songs, but I bought some days ago instead of waiting until 2019.

Guess im doing good with this one.

I don't like to give myself promises or goals, but in 2019 i'm going to want to find real life friends. Enough of loneliness eating on me.

Oh, and maybe buy a new gasmask! Yeah, im tired of old soviet one.

I do have goals. I am just not expecting life to deliver me anything. I'll do whatever I have to do to achieve what I want, bearing in mind that sh*t may go wrong in the way and ruin all my plans. That's why I don't expect anything. I just live, do what I gotta do and see what happens.

Good luck. The fictional lord above knows I tried really f*cking hard to get into it, but nope, not a single click. The boy bands are great eye candy, though.

I'm going to the gym again to train and work out to lose a little weight.

I've already been working on this one, but let my disability be less of a burden during work and socializing with people, and more of a tool to work with. Going out of my comfort zone a lot more than currently.

Standing up for what I want, and not abide to please others by any means necessary. Standing up for myself, I guess.

Raising money for my own place to stay in for a long time.

Be less of a thot

Eat healthier and keep up with my exercising. I'm jogging 3 times per week now.

Keep re-learning guitar. This week, I haven't done anything over Christmas and I'm feeling awfully guilty for that.
