Had a Wagon Theft mission which involved taking it from St. Denis police station.  After laying waste to all the lawmen, I looted them all before taking off.  Low and behold one of them had a Treasure Map.  Never would I think you could get a map in a Stranger Mission, let alone from a Lawman.  I guess from now on, loot everyone you can.  You never know what you might get.

With gang hideouts - it seems like the leader won't always give up, even if you've killed all their men. At least, this one gave up for a moment, but changed his mind.

At Fort Mercer after I spared the leader he ran a short distance then started shooting at me.

 

When I killed him I lost a lot of honor.

You can "rob" Hamish's shack during a supply wagon delivery out of Van Horn. He has a couple gun oil and some food items.

You can wash your face in a water barrel at camp. Also, there is a crate of free beer next to it.

 

@Rammer2k I found a treasure map in a Trelawny Horse theft mission TWICE. My first priority is to loot all bodies before continuing on with the objective, people don't know what they're missing out on.

Some treasure maps I looted were from a recovery mission in the grizzlies given by the Post office guy in Valentine, you have a dead body laying next to some destroyed tent and a bear will viciously attack you if not careful. Got one a couple times there but also in some stranger missions I didn't expect much from. Definetly loot every corpse you never know, might get lucky.

Before I spare the leader I always shoot his hat off thinking there might be a shooting hats off challenge somewhere but I've never thought to look.

Damage drop off doesn't seem to be a thing with sniper rifles. Strangely (since the ingame stats say otherwise), split point seems a little more powerful than high velocity. When used in a Rolling Block at least.

you get 20 gold nuggets each for resetting awards you've got the gold buckle for?? genuinely didn't know this lol

 

just earned two gold bars + a few more nuggets by doing this. figured I might as well reset the ones I do often.

I didn't know story mode is bleeding through this hard into online. I found my story legendary pronghorn carcass in online.

I guess all those mystery carcasses (mainly in Bayou area) are my own kills from story?

That's crazy if it's mixed up like that. My online accounts are separate from my story mode account so if that's the case it's good I did it that way.

In Six Points Cabin there is 3 bucks you can take.

 

Looting enemies in Ambarino will usually get you a few good/perfect pelts.

 

In Blackwater saloon, there's a jewelery box on the second floor. The last draw near the phone booth in the back.

If your camp is south of Braithwait Manor, they come about every 2 min. If you silently slaughter them, you will get away with it and they have VERY good loot. I got various tonics and quite a bit of jewelry from them.

Cripps doesn't forget and is very vengeful! A friend killed my Cripps last night. We were still in camp when he re-spawned several min later. Cripps then begins to attack my friend and kills him. After he killed my friend, he sits and begins reading a book. We were dying laughing!

Not sure if this is new, but opening one of my Treasure Chests, I got not only a nice chunk of cash, but a Miracle Tonic pamphlet.  Saves me at least a a few hundred bucks there.

So apparently you can get into certain locked doors under specific circumstances. Not exactly sure what those are but I think it involves an NPC being near the door? 

 

I dunno either way I managed to get inside the mailroom at emerald station and was locked inside until an NPC was near the door but on the outside, I got out but was still curious so I went back inside while the door was open and then the door closed behind me and I was stuck again for a few more minutes.

 

Makes me wanna go around testing this out in different areas, see if there's anywhere else interesting to get inside.

Yeah me and another brought this up in a different thread (the money/exp making one?) but according to some they aren't getting the extra exp, who knows.

 

Something else I meant to bring up that I saw yesterday, I was in a mission and any 1 hit rifle kill on a medium animal was giving me a perfect pelt every time regardless of carcass condition, same as how the Varmint rifle used to work for small game. The stipulation? This was during a story mission, haven't encountered it during freeroam.

 

Also haven't tested it yet again as the mission I noticed it in was the last one me and my buddies did that night, if anyone else wants to try it out I'd love to hear if it works for you, this might be my new thing for medium game/pelt hunting during story missions if so. At least till they fix it I'm sure.
