You can respawn all the collectibles you just picked up by changing back the clock on your console by a day. (Close the game before changing clock)

Works on PS4, probably works on Xbox too, not sure about PC, though.

You can do this as many times as you like.

If you don't believe me, just try it out. :)

They'll probably patch that one real quick!

AFAIK the only weapon type, which makes the people not run away , if used are the knifes.

sometimes we start a bounty in st. denis, go 2 streets south in the industrial zone and start a fistfight with 10 npcs.

it results in a horrible knife massacre, because they keep attacking and attacking....

Me and my buds call this sandy knee fight night, I got some tips that might help though.

NOTE!- Doing bounties technically puts you above the law in the games eyes so pretty much anything done during a bounty has little to no repercussions, though I noticed that it usually happens if you stick around the same area you were fighting in after the bounty is over, since now that it's over, you're back "below the law" and woo wee look at what you all did here, gonna have to report ya to the law for that one cowpoke, it's gonna be the gallows for you feller 😂 anyways....

1. Before you even start the bounty at the board in sandy knee, wait till nighttime to start (sets a better fight night atmosphere imo) and stow all longarms onto your horse and set your weapon quick select to your fists so accidentally bumping the weapon wheel button doesn't whip out your hand cannon, which leads me into my next point...

2. Forget R2/RT as a button altogether when doing these fight clubs, using R2/RT while fist fighting can make you draw your pistol and it scuffs up the vibe, so just stick to using lock on and circle/B to melee, Square/X to dodge if held but if timed right as they swing for you, you parry and counter (can still use circle/B for the parry/counter, but if you wanna dodge too then you'd have to alternate) and triangle/Y to grapple, which you can also slam them to the ground and pick them up again by clicking the left stick while grappling them, can't be "struggling" though, you have to have them grappled and not actively fighting back. Doing this in shallow water can drown npcs as well so be mindful and the ground slam/pick up only works on npcs.

3. There's like a 2-3 block section that basically guarantees you a few 3+ on 1 fights, just stick to the working class part of the city where all the factories, electric companies and the docks are, if you start seeing richer neighborhoods and fashionably dressed people, then turn around and go back until you start seeing overalls, flat caps, union suits and other clothing that just speaks working class because the rich are soft and just run everytime, as opposed to the working class, who mob and fight back a great amount of the time.

4. Don't go pulling civs off of horses, coach's and wagon's because 9.8/10 they'll draw on the aggressor and start showing you the business end of their crap cattleman's revolver, which again, scuffs the vibes and scatters the npcs that are fighting.

5. When it's time to hang up the gloves for the night, get away from that 2-3 block radius before the bounty is over, any bodies, even knocked out, sitting around might spook a civ and cause them to report you to the law.

6. set yourself up with some health tonics just in case it gets a lil too froggy for you and civs start jumping you 7v1

7. If you have them, make use of the two stamina recovery ability cards and maybe a health recovery one, find what works for you.

8. Sometimes a knocked out npc will wake up, shuffle and stumble off for a half minute or so before turning around and coming back for round 2 and sometimes they just shuffle away into the dark of the night. so just been keen with your spatial awareness.

I hope someone gets some worth out of this, if not then oh well.

If I have more tips I'll make a post and title it "sandy knee fight club tips" or something.

I never noticed before that the clock on the Bank of Rhodes building keeps real time.

Most building clocks do. If you play "Destroyed by Grief" you may notice during the cutscene on Main Street that the clock on the City Hall building is frozen at 12:00 because the environmental timescale for the entire mission is fixed to remain at high noon.

Yeah, same trick they used in GTAO, where missions needing to be fixed to daytime (for instance, "Denial of Service") are locked at noon, while night-time missions like "Defender" are locked at 9pm. And the same applies to building clocks in GTAO - most noticeably the one on the wall inside Pacific Standard.

Something I only just noticed the first time (thanks to the eagle-eyed poster here😞 the new outfit in Quick Draw Pass #4 ("The Dunster") is based on the iconic portrait of Billy the Kid (taking the colours from a colourised version):

69xpix33eu971.jpg

Right down to the cardigan, and the shirt with the anchor, even. I've been saying we should have more stuff that leans into actual history for years, now, so it's really encouraging to see R* actually do that - hopefully we'll get more replica outfits like it in future! :)

I miss the weight of the animations. Played GTAO when Cayo Perico came out with my friend and his fiancé and the combat now feels no different from RDO which means they play exactly the same, just floaty. You can just strafe sideways or run backwards at full speed while aiming but before and in SP you can only walk sideways or backwards while aiming. All the balance is gone as they sped up the reloading animations meaning that reloading revolvers barely has any difference to pistols when originally revolvers packed more punch but slower reload and pistols were weaker but reloaded significantly faster.

Pressing Y/Triangle should have looted ammo but holding it should have looted Collectibles and money etc.

Cover is useless as I can just run sideways and Matrix dodge all the bullets while firing with a hundred percent accuracy.

For real, felt like such a better game back then to me as far as character animation/feeling of weight went, and they dumbed it down and sped it up for what? They haven't actually done much of anything with the game in the mean time so what was even the point...

To appeal to the Fortnite/GTAO crowd, I am sorry if that gets under peoples skin, but it's true. To make it more "accessible".

They should have made it so that the new animations were in PvP modes only and the old animations stayed in Free Roam. As it is now it's too easy.

Don't get my post wrong it was a rhetorical question, I "get" why they did it, it was f*cking stupid and felt pointless to me though is all. I understand some prefer the sped up animations and movement though, there was at the time plenty of other games to play with those features, now unfortunately RDO is one of them.

This was weird:

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

On the way to fetch a treasure (Blackbone Forest in Big Valley) this wagon wreck was on the side of the road.

I haven't seen this in RDO, only the drunk wagon crash in single player.

I found a couple of miracle tonics, 3 gold watches, & a billfold loose on the ground, and in the small lockbox was a collectible heirloom.

They added these with either the Naturalist update, or the BH extension.  I have seen several, many times they are just on the side of the road and go un-noticed.  Can't remember ever seeing one at night with the lantern though.

Speaking of which, I have not seen a single Random Event since they fixed the animal spawns....

Seen Moonshiner Roadblocks, Moonshine Camps and Hideouts but no Random Events.

There are tons in solo sessions, especially while you have a treasure map open.

Many (all?) treasure locations have random event spawns in their search area, it's pretty much guaranteed that one will appear when you're looking for a treasure.

I've had to either avoid if possible or do first random shine camps, bounties, camp defends, stranger rescues (particularly the Kamassa River map which has two event spawns), roadblocks, poacher camps.

I don't think any of the new random robberies interfere with treasure searches, or at least I haven't run into one yet while doing treasure maps.

More proof that the R* "servers" cannot handle this game. Just give us Solo Sessions.

Subject: Van Horn Bounties - Mary Penn

(Spoilers)

Mary Penn and her gang are proper thieves with a treasue trove of stolen loot in a cave.

I did not know, that Madame Nazar was the gangs contact and/or possible buyer. She has dialog with Mary Penn and will "vanish" to the amazement of the gang. When you are in firing range.

Only recently realised just how much of a godsend this interactive collector map is: https://jeanropke.github.io/RDR2CollectorsMap/

Really makes tracking down specific tarot cards and the like a doddle - particularly because in-game collector maps almost never point you towards rarer or time-dependent items (blood flower, for example). As it is, I've been able to nail down those last elusive pieces to finish a bunch of sets, giving me a dozen to sit on until the Halloween Pass goes live and I can complete it instantly (and thus free up more time to play FH5 in November!).

Bounty hunting around Scratching Post, chased an unruly outlaw to the San Luis River. Tackled the bastard in shallow water and pressed *beat*... the animation held his face underwater until he was unconscious.

Spent the remainder of the day, "baptizing" heathens, before handing them over to the law.

If you knock someone out, and they fall into water, even just face first, they will drown.

If you drop a hogtied person into water they will thrash about and try to get their head above water, if the water is shallow enough for them to do this they won't drown.

Yes, these things are true.

This animation, is a single hand, holding the head (while it is titled to the side) under water, without the body being hogtied. NPC is on its back.

If you ride through deep water with a live npc on your horse they will stop blathering while they wriggle around and splutter since the horse swimming places their head under water.

I always found it amusing to do when a bounty is in the middle of insulting you.  😎

When you are slowly riding through notorious predator territories your character might turn and look at a certain direction for a few moments as if they may have seen or heard something. I noticed my guy do this twice and both times there was a black bear where I followed his gaze.

If you use Eagle Eye while on horseback, your character will turn their heads and look over the side of their horse at tracks if you are close enough.

NPCs make fun of your clothes if you dress scummy enough. These dockworkers talk smart but I'm literally dressed like them

"I didn't know the circus was in town"

The clothes shopkeeper asked if I was going to leave "dressed like that"

Nice touch
