4-5 spendings and he gives you a Rat . After that you can Take your Money Back Out of His hat 😈

Yeah, the beggar gives you a PERFECT rat; not bad for the 25 cents or whatever you give him.

Every time I pass a beggar I do that, since great for small animal/perfect animal turn in dailies.

More the merrier!

I found that you can't brush your horse if it's agitated due to a predator.

I'm always mashing down left stick (on xbox, "calm"), around predators or when escaping, so

it usually doesn't agitate much. Doing it helps a lot when a cougar/wolves are on you.

It only doesn't seem to help when stupid legendary animal charges you, silly horse!

When playing the story mission Destroyed By Grief, the theater is open and can be entered.

During the mission Bring a Goddamn Posse the bank in Valentine is open and there's some jewelry in there (the kind you sell to the fence) which you can only loot during that mission.

Not exactly the most interesting feature, but immediately rearing your horse as you climb onto the saddle will ragdoll you off into the dirt

Apparently you can't enter the cinema tent at Valentine if you have a wanted level. 🤨

I tried and kept getting turned around automatically.

Anybody ever notice this gun with the bayonet driven into the tree near that old ruined church by Shady Belle?

Yeah, that's the Buffalo Rifle from RDR1 (was leaked as well on the Ruddy Moose Newswire page recently)

The latest Role outfits (Naturalist update) are *somewhat* more customizable than the rest.

Head into the Role Outfits menu and tab over to the right, and you'll be able to choose from 'Upper garments' and 'Lower garments' sets, allowing you to mix-and-match different tops/pants from the new outfits.

That would be cool if they added it to the game for us to buy, I liked that gun in the first game.

I have to tell my daughter that, she hates the one outfit's bottom because of the lack of shoes. But she actually likes the rest of it. Thank you for the info! 😊

That If your horse gets spooked, you can cancel the falling off animation by spamming get of the horse quick enough

I think you can do that with all of the role outfits, I have an outfit consisting of the top of one Collector outfit and the trousers from another.

A hogtied NPC will get airborne at the bouncy bridge:

I got wanted for kidnapping twice on the way there. 😁

I wanted to hear him yell on the way down, but I think the first bunch of bounces killed him.  😞

All of the role outfits have been like that since their addition to the game.

Worth noting, you can't mix and match across roles - so you can have the lower garments from The Tilliston and the upper from The Sagemoor (both Naturalist outfits), or half-and-half from The Wakeeney and The Carthage (Bounty Hunter), but you can't have top half Tilliston, bottom half Wakeeney.

Welp - at least it helps make better colour combos than the default ones... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  For some reason, the default ones might have 'maroon with black accents' for the top, 'black with maroon accents' for the bottom, and then another which is the opposite, rather than having the same colour proportions top and bottom:

But hey, at least it's easy enough to take the black jacket and black pants, pair them up (and ditch the hat - and maybe throw on some matching leather gloves, for good measure), and take what started out as a gimmicky, costume-looking thing, and make something more realistic-looking.

Posted a while back that you can now "Mercy Kill" (Execute) your own Horse if they are in the "Revive" state but if you do this you still have to wait out the respawn period even if you have Insurance.

Thanks to my friend Fernando Martinez, I found out you can fast travel from the wilderness camp now:

3ECDC54E3DE63962EE287C7500F927B34B03B27B

This is an unlock from level 96 of the pass, but for now it's glitched so everyone can do it.

Make use of it while you can, I'm sure it will be one of the first things fixed, and you won't see it again until you hit level 96, folks!    😀

I found the perfect trout fishing spot today.

Had to catch 10 fish for the daily, and at a convenient spot after digging up a coin I decided to give it a go just barely south of Thieves' Landing.

I was looking to get either trout or salmon to keep lots of succulent fishies in my satchel so scanned to see of any medium fish were about, and sure enough there were plenty of trout.

Use the special river lure (enhanced chance of catching medium river fish) and all you will catch are trout, and they are plentiful.

Saw for the first time ever a horse in a little fenced in area in the western part of Blackwater near the post office drinking out of a water trough, snorting & splashing the water upwards as it did so.

According to OnlyPvpCat, if you buy the standalone version of RDO while already owning it expecting to get a second character slot, you get nothing at all.   🤨

So, that's not a good idea.  😞

Gotta try that before it gets patched! Thanks for posting--been wanting to kick Cripps' sorry posterior for years now.

My Favorite spot was ruined when they added Harriet.  They put her right next to it.  Before I would never see anyone there, and now I can't drop a line without getting popped so I had to move on.  I'll give this one a go

O'Creagh's Run is the absolute best location for salmon. Don't have to have the line in the water more than 30 seconds usually for a bite. Trout are also abundant west of Rhodes where Dutch's group set up the 2nd camp, where the small pier is.

There are plenty of bluegill (I think, or maybe rock bass, they look alike in eagle eye) and pickerel at that spot, but the good thing about using the special river lure south of Thieves' Landing is there are no other medium fish, so guaranteed you'll only catch trout.

I hang onto them for the succulent fish daily, so either trout or salmon will do.

The new random bounties now pay $10 per mission.
XP is the same.

I ran into a 2 target one on the island west of Rhodes with the shipwreck.

It was a bit of a job, I had to ferry one to the shore, go back for the other, then turn one in at the Rhodes Sheriff, then go back for #2.

Still had enough time.

Fastest way to calm a horse is feed it. It's an instantaneous calm. Funny you can't brush it but you can feed it.

Couple of things I just noticed today:

- When you pull up the start menu (the one with "map", "benefits", etc. listed on the left of the screen, on a red background), there's a pocket watch in the top left corner - and it tells the actual in-game time! In other words, that's one more reason why the pocket watch you can actually buy in-game is pretty much pointless, and you'll almost never use it. :p

- I already knew that arrows and throwing knives can be picked up when used, but I didn't know that they're proper physical objects in the world, and not just intangible ammo pickups that stay put where they land. I missed a shot, went to pick up the arrow, and it was slowly rolling down the hill - pretty cool (and helpful, since they also flash slightly to make them easier to spot - so an iridescent-looking thing rolling down the hill caught my eye, and *presto*: got my lost arrow back!).

I didn't know until today that you can sedate a legendary animal, take a sample, then kill it and turn in the carcass to Cripps.  I always thought you had to choose between sedating it or killing it.  Is that something new?

Something else was happening today... Every time I logged into a fresh session, my Turkoman had full gold cores.

Nope, it's always been that way. Sedating only locks you out of skinning the carcass.
