You can reset awards, so you can keep getting gold rewards.  Selling herbs to doctor is quick an easy to hit the gold.

Tennessee Walkers seem to be less inclined than Morgans and Saddlers to kick you when you're looting their saddlebags.

Holding LB or RB while on horse, helps to force which direction you want to attack with B. LB or left. RB for right.

Even if you're passenger on your own horse, you can still change weapons in your weapon wheel.

And dual wielding volcanic is worse than mausers. Don't even try it.

In Name Your Weapon (Teams), if you get the explosive bow and die while holding it in your hands, you can track down your corpse and pick it back up, which automatically gives you two dynamite arrows back.

Reset awards? How?

Quite a few rewards can be reset. If you check out your gold awards, some will give you the option to press square (on PS4) to reset the award. You will receive 0.2 gold bars and you can get the XP bonuses for completing the award again, up to 10 times per resettable award.

Options button on PS4 controller - Progress - Awards. Each category has a series of awards. Once you reach gold, you should see an option to reset it. Some you cannot. The easiest one (for me at least) was using dynamite to kill fish.

Also, something I learned today:

Who forgot to tell me that the Springfield rifle OWNS? Ho-Lee-Crap.. Express ammo while on a horse makes one damn near unstoppable.

If you play in the middle of the night and there are few enough players you might get lucky and play the beginning mission (where you get your horse) by yourself, in which case you get your choice of horses. I play numerous characters on PS4 (I'm addicted to creating characters which is one of the reasons it takes me forever to level up lol) -- so I've had it happen twice now.

Is it really that much better than the Bolt Action? Genuine question. I've got the money to buy and fully upgrade it, I've just been trying to avoid cluttering the weapon wheel wherever I can.

Same goes for the Rolling Block Vs Carcano rifle if you/anyone can offer a comparison.

That's why I was hesitant too, TBH. I had the cash and its inexplicably cheaper than the bolt. No clip either but the reload time doesn't seem all that different. No hard data but I'd say 75% of my kills have been one-shot deals.

Someone else here was also raving about it's awesomeness so I figured why not.

I posted this stat comparison in another thread eariler, if you hadn't seen it, here it is again. Looking at the stats, The Bolt-action is overall the superior weapon. If you think about it, the Springfield and Bolt-action Rifles are just slightly downgraded, auto aim versions of the snipers...

^ Thanks to both of you.

I think for the price I'll probably get one just for the little extra stopping power, but after the MFT I'm only around 1.5 levels away from getting.

I really wanted to avoid a cluttered weapon wheel and the setup I currently have is all I'll ever need for hunting, but as time goes on and the player base as a whole levels up, I have a feeling I'll need to invest more into top tier PvP weapons just for self defense.

Your character can occasionally be seen mouthing a sentence.

Sat at the table at camp and went AFK to see if I could get a good screen shot. Looked at him on my brothers screen and his mouth kept moving as if he was saying something. Lipreaders might be able to tell what he was saying but I couldn't.

Forgot to get footage as well but it might happen to a few!

I confirmed last night, that gang camps exist in Red Dead Online. While traveling along the shore of Flat Iron Lake, searching for a Large Mouth Bass spawn location, I stumbled upon a small camp with five or six Lemoyne Raiders occupying it. A raider running up to my horse and threatening me kicked off the ensuing blood bath. I found a few items to loot, including a bill fold. But it was only two dollars and change.

You can activate eagle vision while you have a fishing rod in your hands. It reveals all fish in the water. You can throw the lure near the biggest fish.

Helpful when trying to get that "Dynamite Animals" award as well. :)

You can apparently reset a scripted animal spawn location after having killed the creature by heading a little distance away and simply rest to craft an item. Afterwards head back to the spot, and normally the animal will be there too, it might not always be the same species though. Tried this with mainly birds like hawks, eagles and vultures and the Ox by the farm near Emerald ranch, but I can not confirm this really is a thing unless someone else tried this out and gets back with some feedback. But I have done this too many times now for it to be a mere coincidence.

Yeah I got to level 93 just hunting mostly and only realised the other day. I was wondering why when on the edge of leveling it was happening when I skinned-then I checked my exp bar and yep...

Apparently, if you ride a stolen horse around for a bit. Then it won't kick you. And it has to be calm as well.

Some nights ago I was riding along southern Scarlett Meadows right by the water looking for anything to hunt when suddenly I lock on to

something further down on the beach. I didn’t bother to check what it was, I just pulled the trigger.

And would you know, I hear a short scream and then a man and a woman gets up and starts running away begging for their lives.

Were they doing what I think they were doing laying down there on the beach at night? If so, I really didn’t know that could even happen. And I feel a little bad about thinking they were a boar or a turtle.
