Red Lynx 23 Posted December 29, 2018 Share Posted December 29, 2018 That Moose exist in Red Dead Online. I saw one for the first time ever in Big Valley last night. Then I saw another one today. Also in Big Valley. The first one escaped my attempt to lasso and stab it by running through another player's camp, which slowed me down too much...and it ran straight towards the other player, who was also hunting. I was doing a little human trafficking (found this afk player and was willing to sell him for 3 perfect pelts lmao). When I found a buyer he couldn't remove the pelts off of his horse and neither could I. At some point I've lost the ability to take pelts that lay flat on horse's off of them. Gator, Bear, Moose, and Elk pelts can still be removed. Doesn't work when dual wielding. Holding RT/R1 with a lasso will spin it over your head. Releasing will throw it. When you've been lasso'ed quickly equip a knife to cut yourself free quickly. Attacking a player from behind whilst unarmed will choke them. I believe they don't get a 'break free' option. 'Executing' someone whilst armed with a shotgun is most satisfying. Oh and it took me a while to discover that you can changed your favoured emotes. Get rid of that stupid wave in favour of a good ol' thumbs up. I forget how/where but begin with left on your d-pad. They can break free - someone attacked me from behind at the butcher in Strawberry, was choking me and I had the break free button which I have set to hold. I got free and executed him. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RUSH AHEAD TO THE OBJECTIVES Not only will you earn less money from completing the mission faster, but you are missing out on lots of loot from the dead bodies, and also, people never go into the buildings, and some of them are crammed with items. Horse revivers, potent health cures, tinned foods, and so on. LEARN where the stuff spawns, don't just rush ahead to the objective on your own and get destroyed. Perfect example in the mission "more than one way to earn a buck" - the kids just rush ahead blowing up the buildings. Stop and go inside them and get the extra loot. Loot the bodies. Loot everything. This includes Free Mode too. The Strawberry welcome center is a particularly good place for free stuff. There will be others if you take the time to look. Another curious thing happened to me yesterday ......found 5 boars .... killed 4 of them ......while skinning the 4th pig .....the lone survivor charged me and knocked me over . You can check ability load out of others in the player menu accessed pressing left on D pad. I find it handy if someone approaches my hunting area or are a bit down the road I'm travelling. *Lola Posted January 2, 2019 Share Posted January 2, 2019 My horse cores wouldn't hold a charge. Every time I switched lobbies, completed a mission or when I log back in, the cores were almost empty. Going through way too much food. I cleared ps4 cache and that did nothing. Rockstar would've told me to do that. I was at the stable and decided to buy the horse care package thing - $7.50.
