Using predator bait near the shore in swamps will spawn a small alligator crouching towards the bait instead of a fox.

you can easily turn the radar on and off simply by holding the down button and pressing circle/x in-game without having to go into the settings.

Anyway, things I didn't know... you can visit Buell in Cumberland Forest. He's standing next to Hamish tent. You can't steal him though ;-(

 

I may not catch all the details but when I'm in town and such I do notice other peoples weapons, mainly though it's just for myself as I'll be the one seeing them the most. Did see someone with the Rare Shotgun and it stood out due to the carvings.

 

To your other point, he's also chilling in the pen behind Hamish's cabin up in the Grizzlies, it's a nice touch as I still recall early on when Buell wasn't around in online.

I do. All the time. What you use, & what you've done to it (or haven't) says a great deal. My weapons are blackened steel with gold Victorian engravings. That's for me. I don't believe in all gold guns, looks a little too "over the top" for me, but who am I to judge?

I seem to remember one of the previewers saying you and your horse could get struck by lightning.

You can 'reverse' on your horse. PITA to get it to happen but it's possible.

 

 

I knew it worked in wagons but never really thought about it on just horsies.

I only notice them during the cut-scene at the beginning of a story mission. If I'm too lazy to look at the player menu, I can tell the newbs by the carbine on their back.

Tap R1 3 times quickly but on 3rd keep it held down and your and your horse whilst mounted will walk backwards

I think you can hold R1 the first time and it'll back up.

 

You can revive a horse without Horse Reviver by using another horse/donkey/mule to walk over the hurt horse's neck. Weird glitch where your horse literally pops right back up. May not work every single time.

One of the missions you get from Anthony Foreman in Saint Denis, is to massacre a wedding party in a Mansion. Good loot to take from the guests as well.. He is officially my favorite mission contact, at least until such time that Micah Bell shows up online and gives us stranger missions, and really F'ed up ones like that Wedding massacre.

Loved that mission so much. Must have literally got it once since launch and I've done like 570 of these missions.

After reaching rank 100, the XP needed to rank up further increases by 50XP for each rank. 

 

e.g 98 - 99 was 6075, 99 - 100 was 6100, 100 - 101 is now 6150 instead of 6125.

Holding R1 once only works if you in a carriage for your horse when your sat on it you must tap twice then quickly press and hold R1

It's just two taps like with the sidearm holster spin, except you hold on the second tap and it will begin reversing.

Yesterday I was choked to death in the post office at Benedict Point. I didn't see him coming cause I was refilling my ammo by collecting deliverables and it happened as soon as I was done with that. I didn't know other players could hurt you in a post office...

Sounds like they were using a glitch. Other players shouldn't be able to kill you while you're in the safe zone.

It happened when I walked to the door. Not the one near the tracks at the front, but the one at the back. I was still inside the post office...

A lot of people probably know this - but never underestimate using a shrubbery for cover, as it breaks lock-on very effectively.

Didn't know the game starts playing a musical theme when you drive the train in cinematic camera. There's only two, and they loop but still, sounds nice.

You can grab players from behind.

 

You can smash other player's head against a wall in hand to hand combat as a finisher. I achieved this only once and against a tree.

 

Hipfire shot is faster than aiming and then shooting.

 

Shooting other player in the weapon holding arm gives him huge reticle away.

Yea several times. Gang members in ambushed often have herbs like peppermint, ginseng, bulrush etc

Are you guys talking about "wild mint" or peppermint candy aka the horse provisions? Cause I've found plenty of herbs on npcs but never any peppermint candy.
