Can we get this thread started, please?

-Even when you're at camp; a player can run into you on horseback and knock you into the fire pit if you're resting.

Unfortunately no.

If your dead eye core is in the red, it affects your aim.

This shouldn‘t be in this thread imo.

All small and medium animals killed with the appropriate weapon will give you a perfect pelt/perfect parts, no matter what condition it was before the hunt.

Doesn‘t apply to anything bigger than boars I think.

-You can eat stew from some campfires that have a kettle hanging over them and a plate with a spoon on the ground. You have to wait until the plate & spoon respawn before you can eat more stew. Then there are some campfires that have a pot of coffee next to the fire for players to drink freely.

-There's also some random campfires you can craft/cook at around the map, just in case you don't want to go all the way back to your camp.

-There's also a box with free beer at your camp, right next to Cripps.

-You can lasso animal or human corpses and pull them out of the water(before they sink) or hard to reach spots(this works in Single Player too but doesn't work on small animals)

I noticed this just the other day lol I was riding around popping rabbits and realized all the pelts were Perfect even though I know I shot a few 2 stars. It's gotta be a bug..

Weapons that you carry on (revolvers, both big guns) very fast be corrupted if you stay in water at least on half of your body for 5 minutes flat. Weapons get rusty. Be noticed of that if you decide go to swamps for example.

I'm not talking about hunting animals.

Plus, anything in this thread is defined as things you didn't know about RD:O as submitted by the user who didn't know it until now, whilst hoping to share this knowledge amongst other users.

So yes, it does belong in this thread.

While choking an npc or player,  press L3 to slam them down on their back,  press it again to bring them back up onto their feet

Yes you‘re right ofcourse.

My point was that it‘s like saying it if you‘re health core is empty, you die faster! Didn‘t want to step on your toes mate

You can feed your horse while it is galloping, you can't do this in singleplayer.

Horley's Gold Turkoman in the story mission "Where Your Morals Lead You" can be looted and you'll be awarded with either snake oil, money, or a swift kick to the face.

LeClerk's horse in "Kill Them, Each and Everyone" can also be looted. Also, what kind of horse is she even riding?

When you’re driving a stagecoach you usually can’t use the cinematic camera to autopilot you. You would need to constantly be tapping x while in cinematic view. What you can do though is get to full speed and simply hold L2 to aim your gun. The coach will follow your waypoint without you needing to steer. Not exactly autopilot since you have to be holding a button but still useful none the less.

A glitch that I discovered. Playing singleplayer for awhile, then juming into Online shortly after. My female Online character had John Marston's voice when climbing over objects and jumping. I recorded it of course, especially when she jumped off a balcony close to the Fence in Van Horn.

Here's some tips I that will help newbies.

If you find a lootable house you can loot it go onto online and choose new session where you left off and be able to reloot same house. Rinse repeat till you stocked up.

Fast travel for free by going into online loading into any state you want will put you in new session and lose your pelts on horse but quick way to bounce to another state in a minute.

Getting griefed?  Hit left on dpad go to quick join story mission one always pops for me within 3 seconds. Can always leave matchmaking and will put you outside where that mission starts. Also good way to replay story missions if bored.

Again fast travel to any mission youve completed start by going into progress story missions from there you can start a mission and leave. 2 missions for each honor put you right next to a stable its handy if you want to get to a stable fast. The missions are kerosene and highly illegal highly moral. If you exit at matchmaking your a few yards from stables.

If you delete character you keep gold and cash but lose everything else. If you dont mind rerolling few times it's actually effective way to make few thousand bucks before permanently sticking with character.

Get about 600 and 1 gold bar per reset and run through story modes like 6 missions. If grind pvp showdowns ain't your thing.

If you leave at the character screen when getting clothes for first time out of jail if you leave and go back in you get some new options. Rinse repeat till satisfied with starting clothes.

Varmit rifle is a 1 shot kill to head unless they have abilities countering headshots. Varmit rifle is pretty much the best pvp gun in game right now and best gun until you unlock special ammo. Fast rof fast accuracy all need is headshot.

Get the abilities slow and steady and never without one asap. Save you a ton in pvp.

Apparently your controller is supposed to vibrate for treasures. Mine has vibrated for pretty much everything except treasures this entire time.

A guy attacked me at the butcher in Srawberry when I had a load of pelts etc on my horse. He had me down choking me. You can set "break free" to just a button push in game settings and I had done that and I got free and executed him. Much better than mashing B.

Do not spawn in where you want to play! The game will put you in a crowded place, so I spwan in in another state and Fast Travel to where I want to go.

How do you set break free to just a button? My thumb is tired of mashing circle everytime someone grapples me.

My TIP; Small (juvenile) alligator skins can have multiples stored on the horse, but sell for the same price as the adults (which U can only carry 1). So be sure to grab those when swamp hunting.

Related; I guess I'll just add this for those that want to get more tips etc...

While galloping, every 30-45 seconds or so you can calm your horse to instantly gain back about 10% of its stamina. If you time it right, you can essentially increase your horses max stamina by about 30%.

Very useful for races/chasing people, might save you a couple horse stimulants!

There are pickled eggs at the small saloon in Valentine towards the left corner of the bar that you can eat like almonds.

-If you want to fast travel somewhere but don't want to spend the money, set a waypoint to where you want to go on the map, hop on your horse, go into cinematic camera and you can set your speed by tapping the Gallop button while on a road then you can set your controller down while your character auto-rides to the waypoint.. You can still go into your map and check for players if you're worried about threats, and you'll have to watch out for random ambushes from predators and NPCs.

I'm not 100% sure if I am correct because I haven't tested it or anything, but I have mine set to Tap Assist x4 and I mash the hell out of the button still lol but I feel like I beat my opponents every time unless someone shoots me in the middle of the grapple. If I'm wrong, then I'm switching to Tap Assist Hold for the obvious reasons.

Also, in that same area of the options, you can set the Tap to Hold Delay sensitivity, this means if you're trying to close out of the start menus by Holding B/Circle the little circle will fill up faster. Be careful though, I think this may also speed up the Hold to Purchase button as well...
