BO-DACIOUS
hey guys, this is a copy of a post in a different section that didn't get any answers. I read somewhere that when you're looking for treasure, you have to get off your horse for the controller to vibrate. Is that true? I got the bards crossing treasure but can't remember if I had to get off my horse. I just don't want to have to get off my horse for no reason. Thanks, Bo

I always ride on my horse as far as I can.
ALifeOfMisery
I don't recall whether you need to be on foot for the vibrating alert, but either way, if you want to stay on horseback just use eagle eye, look out for the same yellow "sparks" as you get when hunting a legendary animal in SP. Thanks, Bo I remember saying this in another thread of yours (or that you were involved in) and I guess I should apologise for misinforming you. I always got off my horse because I never started feeling the vibration until I got off it. I'm gonna keep on doing it too, only now it's just because I can. It never vibrates in treasure areas on or off my horse.
BO-DACIOUS
Ok. Thanks guys. I stay on my horse until I'm right near the treasure. BO-DACIOUS
Okay I answered this post but I guess this site deletes answers. I said thanks guys. And bakkerbaard: no worries man. For me anyway. Bo Bakkerbaard

BUT THE BENZ
I just ask here, rank 20 map, blue marsh treasure...I cannot find that sh*t and I swam through the whole area...it didn't vibrate once...in the end I was spooked too many times by alligators snapping at me and gave up.... anyone else had a hard time with this treasure....it has to be in the middle of the f*ckin swamp.... It's there. It's hell. For me it was on one the least accissible little islands. Had to wade through a mile of alligator infested murky water. I could make an attempt at locating the tiny patch of land, but even if I could find it on the map I believe locations are randomized. It was one with a busted treetrunk on it. It does kinda look like a place where you'd hide a treasure. Did punch a bunch of gators in the face though, "welcome to Earf"-style. I believe I should get somekind of award for that. Hey, look at at that. First google hit came up with something usefull. This is a new experience for me. My location was either three or four on this list. Edit: Fun trivia: Apparently, in tradtion with the direction the modern times are taking, it is now racist to say "welcome to Earf". Just do the treasure hunt when you’re in the area. I’ve never crossed the map once to do them. You’re turning down free money.
CrimsonFolo
nah the maps are worth it generally imo. Never had my controller vibrate tho even though i have it turned on. Maybe that function is kinda buggy and doesn't activate all the time.

Id say you got a bugged treasure. I had this same type thing happen in black bone forest. Never got a vibration. Searched a good 30 min. Finally found a blinking chest next to a stump but it had no gold floaty things, and I could not interact with it. Loaded a new session and got the vibes immediately and found it in a different location right away. Red Lynx 23

I forgot to say that on my way to find the treasure the blue marsh hideout popped up and I went to clean it. already had the map activated so the treasure icon/are was inactive/gone, after the hideout. could use it again though, and upon that "second" search I could not find/see/feel anything treasure related. will use it a 3rd time when I log in again, and I'll watch that youtube clip before aswell Edited December 29, 2018 by BUT THE BENZ Red Lynx 23

BUT THE BENZ
what, NO gold?! that doesn't sound right... last treasure I recall I got about 0.64 gold and 115 dollars?! rank 18/19, treasure was in north tumbleweed, the map I found on a del lobo peasant who ambushed me people saying they got 1 gold bar sounds intriguing, will see...now with the rank20 map maybe I get lucky in blue marsh and it holds more gold/cash, IF i can find it. I mean, maybe the loot in gold/cash varies from the maps themselves (found as loot, given as reward for rank up) and depends on your rank, or even your gold/cash so far (if you have 420 gold...you will not find 1.2 but maybe just 0.7 gold in the treasure, etc.) who knows, it's not to see for us really and R* could flip the switches and turn things on and off and de-/increase things without us ever knowing for sure.
