Algonquin Assassin Posted February 4, 2019 Share Posted February 4, 2019 It's really hard to choose just one because this game has so many wonderful cutscenes, but the one that probably sticks out the most is during "Unlce Vlad" just after Vlad died and Niko finally reveals to Roman why he's in Liberty City. The whole atmosphere is kinda chilling as it's always scripted to be foggy and with the ominous Algonquin skyline in the background really just makes the whole thing awe inspiring. santosvagos, Eugene H. It's so brilliantly written and funny, it's like a scene from a Tarantino film I also really enjoy the scene when they enter the bank in Three Leaf Clover, from Michael going "None of you's is gonna get a medal for playing hero..." to the bickering between the brothers and the timing of everything, just great When Niko talks with Ilyena Faustin, not just because of the deep conversation revealing dark memories but also the whole way the scene is done with him coming into the house being so polite, laughing politely, and later when Mikhail storms in. And when Niko confronts the Albanians in Roman's cab office and breaks one of their arms, as well as the Russian Revolution opening, because of the badass Niko moves. I like the first time Niko meets with Francis McCreary in his office and the conversation (eg "Look, I don't give a f*ck about the life lessons friend" and "Not in the showers" lol). The scenes with Elizabeta always partying/dancing, interesting and fun types of scenes for an interesting and fun character. And the Darko scene, when Niko first meets/confronts Bernie, talking with Roman in the apartment in the first mission, when Badman jumps on him and the following confusing conversation, Jimmy's death on Happiness Island. The way Niko and Roman are tied up in Faustin's basement with Andre threatening Niko with the hacksaw and making smart arse jabs. Then Faustin just killing Andre at the click of a finger. thalilmythos Posted February 6, 2019 Share Posted February 6, 2019 I have to go with Rigged to blow, the whole scene, is an acting masterclass, Ilyena being, nervous just by using that thing to give niko the tea, she is literally shaking while she speaks, trying to turn someone who is way gone, pass the point of no return like niko, the way he just DESTROYS her faith with what he says, and perfectly ends with "i don't know nothing about that" as soon as Mikail storms into the house, it's has the deepest and crudest lines i have ever seen in a gta game. The little details of the interaction with the awkwardness and then sharing humour and talking truthfully is awesome "You mean 50 years of you bleeding the city dry might finally come to an end?" Nice touch. but the whole scene is masterfully directed. Amazing considering we had never seen Bernie/Floarian before how it could create so much impact when Niko realised he wasn't who he was looking for. Can't forget those Speaking of which it took me years to figure out Faustin had his own execution. For some reason I always just ended up killing him with a shotgun or something. I mean it's probably not quite as good as some of the others, but I felt like an idiot it took me so long to realise.
