Alright, I got the 205 as a bday present back in March from my grandfather. He wanted me to have something small, and not too powerful. 205 was a dream car of mine and always wanted one, but we never really opted for one until it was time for me to get a car. Grandfather liked the idea of a 205, as they are really good cars. Looked around ads for MONTHS, and finally in March, while in class I found this one. 92 model, 160k original kilometers, 2 owner car. Though it's white and has five doors. It looked nice so I didn't really mind. Just was very excited we were gonna look at it. Went to see it, drove really well, almost 0 rust and the price was okay (600 or 650 euros). We bought it without really any detailed inspection. Drove well back home, but the same night the steering wheel got locked and there was no way to insert the key, though I got another lock from the previous owner so it wasn't really a big deal. Morning after we bought it: She was very dirty: Fast forward a few months later, I mostly did work on the engine. Replaced the fuel filter, air filter, all hoes that serve a purpose for the oil, redid gaskets, new battery, took the car to an electrician so he could fix the starter motor and currently it's having problems with it's Mono-Point injection, mostly with the step motor which is in it, but I found the replacement part. After engine work I did some cosmetic stuff (tight on budget then so I only did minor stuff. Mirrors, wheels, bumpers and sorts.) After doing the minor things every lad could do, I decided I'd do a 5 door GTI conversion thing. For now I got a set of Intra 13" alloy wheels on slick summer tires and a front GTI spoiler. Still looking into getting a rear one too. Currently the car is at the body shop having some rust work done as it has two holes in the floor. Nothing serious but I'd rather not worry about it onwards. With the alloy wheels: front GTI spoiler: got foglights for it, waiting for the respray before I mount everything. Pavle Posted January 2, 2019 Author Share Posted January 2, 2019 2/1/2019 car has been at the body shop for three weeks now. today i ordered chinese counterpart fog lights off ebay and reserved a roland garros three spoke steering wheel. also decided i'll do this to my rear, after the respray. removing rear grille (but i'll keep it if i change my mind), just without the badges. only a naked trunk and rallye stripes HockeyMike24, mojito, Pizzahut and 14 others 17 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What's your final decision, are you going to paint the bumpers, door handles and the black thingies across the doors (can't remember the name) too or leave them in black? What's with the Scirocco? Pavle Posted February 17, 2019 Author Share Posted February 17, 2019 (edited) dropped it off at the paint shop @turbocharger the bumpers are staying black, while the lower parts (spoilers) are going to be white. along with that i have red trims for the bumpers ready to be mounted on the car. as for the scirocco, it's my friend's car. having its engine fixed and transmission swapped.
