Do y'all remember these Websites? [From in-game to IRL]

[For those of you who don't know what are these links, they are websites that are introduced via the Radio stations particularly Chatterbox.Unfortunately not every single one of them works in 2018]

Nice. Sadly as you said some of them seems to not work anymore as Sleepofflard/Dormatron or Pogo The Monkey. Maybe using the Wayback Machine should work but I don't think so due to the robots.txt thing as it happens in the Capital Autos website.

may I ask what the point of these was? When they were still working, were they more detailed or something? I'm assuming they were just gag sites way back in the day

sleepofflard and pogo the monkey are fully working, you just need to activate flash. These are supposed to be teaser sites, to entertain the users and whatever, but I dont know really.

 

I have the doubt from where this started, and if there is something missing. Does R* still doing this kind of sites? I think they are just using in game web sites.

They stopped doing them with IV, when the website for IV started having "mini sites" within it. GTA 5 kinda did with the Lifeinvader one but Idk what you would call that.
