This game autosaves at weird points

Really kind of baffling what this game considers worth autosaving for

It would be helpful to know the exact things that do and don’t cause it.

 

I was playing whilst averagely steamed and though it has auto saved me getting one of the 5 card draw wins at Black Jack for gambler challenge 8. Was pretty furious when I woke up the next day to find out it hadn’t.

Seems like it auto saves every time you make a bad choice as if to force you to stick with your consequences. Best just to make your own save so you can load up when you want. As soon as I firgured out you could do that I stopped using the auto saves.

My problem is I forget to save so, 12 hours later I get killed or something-'Lectric goes out momentarily and all the things I did since the last save are gone.
