I’m done with Cripps. He’s fired. I never want to see him again.

Unlike the old Mechanic from GTA Online, who would often drop the car off at the wrong spot or drive off with it, we can’t kill Cripps. I’ve even tried blowing him up with Dynamite. He’s completely invulnerable.

 

I want a “kill Cripps” DLC. I will pay $14.99, standard story DLC fare, just for the ability to kill Cripps and replace him with a competent, fully-voiced employee that you can customize (as in, their face). They would greet you when we enter camp instead of being a rude asshole that doesn’t even say hello or apologize for putting the camp in the wrong goddamn place 4 times in a row before he finally gets it right and still charges you $10. All he does is sit on his ass. 

 

The most hilarious thing about the travesty that is Cripps is that he actually expects you to spend your hard-earned cash on his clothes. Why would anyone ever do that? Even if he wasn’t an incompetent moron that doesn’t deserve the clothes on his back, why would anyone buy him clothes? He doesn’t entertain you with comical dialogue. He isn’t immersive or interactive. He just sits there, sometimes playing his obnoxious harmonica, and expects you to buy him sh*t or spend money on useless camp upgrades. 

 

In all seriousness, we might as well have no one there. Nothing would be better than Cripps. It’s not immersive or realistic to have him magically know where we want to pitch the camp anyway, so what’s the point? Having a boring, mute NPC for these functions is pointless aside from giving us someone to hate and blame for incompetence instead of Rockstar. I feel like that’s the only reason he exists.

 

I hope he dies of terminal Lumbago.

Maybe he'll stop moving my camp around if I buy him the grizzly survivor outfit with gold. I will do it some point. I got over 42.00+ gold sitting, nothing I want atm. Might as well do it today.

I got no beef with cripps as I don't use camp much, don't enter free roam much atm. I don't mind spending $15.00 on fast travel to get to camp for AFK'ing and refilling cores fast. But I prefer good looking characters rather than a hobo.

If cripps' wasn't there. Your camp may still move around. Cripps only comes with it.

I'm fairly sure no one actually thinks it's Cripps' fault and understand that camps randomly moving is either (poor IMO) game design or a yet to be fixed bug.

 

Cripps is just getting ridiculed, because that's what the forum, as a collective, does sometimes. Because, let's face it, Cripps is basically a hillbilly Ken doll that we can, if we choose, pay to play dress up with. 

 

If RDO endures and the camp system stays the same blaming Cripps will become a forum meme used whenever anything sh*t is added to or happens in the game.

Cripps is to RDRO what Preston Garvey is to Fallout 4 both annoying and they can't be killed. I also have to say as soon as I seen dude and my player shook his hand I was like this dude is going to be seriously hated on a forum/social media platform near you.

 So I was chilling at some random player's camp (being nosy) while they were cooking. After a while, Cripps got up and started walking away so I followed him. I was unable to lock on with either gun or lasso so started throwing dynamite at him (he was running and shouting for me to leave him alone lol).
Not sure how much damage he took from that but I ran out of explosives and ended up flattening him with my horse instead.

 

 

I stole his hat too but couldn't save it.

I'll be looking out for someone who's spent the gold on Survivor outfit 2 just so I can wear the bear head hat for as long as I stay in that lobby.

I've found a bear hat twice from gang hideouts. The leader was wearing it, but again, not able to save. 

Thinking about it, it might have been the same hideout twice. Don't know the location name but there's a small river with a large waterfall in the middle of it.
