Kirk Lazarus
Did I miss something... did anything in the story explain this or use this? It's sitting there on his dang shelf, through every camp, letting you inspect it for the Nth time to realize nothing's changed. I thought it was going to be used at the end of the game to signify something. Ingrobny, saintsrow, OREOBOREALIS and 2 others

Gray-Hand
I assume it was a mission reward from one of the camp members he did a favour for?
DirtCheap
Apparently, this flower only grows in California/Oregon and he keeps it next to his bed as it reminds him of his mother. I found this out while playing dominoes Buddy Hightower, Ingrobny, Stannard96 and 15 others

I guess Charles just tossed that jar in in there as well lol Speaking of which, what species is it? I was guessing Butterfly Milkweed, but it's not an West Coast exclusive. Montana Actual
Nice. Always wondered what the significance of that flower was. Ahhh, clarity.
KingpinRCR
As been said before, it reminds him of his mother. Whenever arthur goes west he brings a new flower with him.
Noah S.
I'm pretty sure it is a bitterroot. I read somewhere that they only grow out west and they look pretty similar. It's also the state flower in Montana. Edited November 16, 2019 by Noah S. Typo

BrassBullets999
I don’t know if it’s just me but it looks a lot like the flower the the guy plants in guardians of the galaxy Vol. 2... am I wrong??
Geartic
found it! It is a bitterroot flower called the Lewisia cotyledon, or known as the "cliff maid" flower... the flower is found in the regions of southern Oregon and northern California, as said by Arthur himself... they are usually found in-between rocks or on cliffs... edit: yes they do come in the exact color as the flower in the jar Edited July 19, 2021 by Geartic jje1000 and Arthujahn Morstgan
