A wagon is great for fishing and hunting, but doesn't have much use in online atm, as the horses often will despawn.. even if you're looking straight at them. We should be able to buy various types of small/large, closed/open stagecoaches or wagons. Then you'd have to buy 1-4 horses to pull it. This would make the draft and work horses usefull. We have the option to cut draft horses free.. why can't we tie them on the wagon again? Then hundreds of griefers could be after you, and after all your fishes and your whole wagon. Anyway, that's why need invite only sessions. ^ I actually think that balances it quite well, as you would have to decide whether the server seems safe enough to use the wagon or not (or recruit a few people into your posse for protection). You can make more money if you get the wagon to the butcher, but you also present a bigger target for other players. High risk for high reward. IamCourtney Posted December 19, 2018 Share Posted December 19, 2018 I love jacking one of the two-wheeled single horse carts off an NPC and just tearing around at top speed, bumpin n jumpin over rocks and terrain. In a fully functional player-owned form I think it'd be a nice middle ground between the speed and maneuverability of a riding horse and the large cargo capacity of a full size wagon. It just seems logical, you know? Anyway, I too would like wagons. At the very least I could haul around dead bodies to make it clear to highwaymen I may not be their desired target. Anyway, that's why need invite only sessions. ^ Yeah the risk matches the reward. Yesterday I was fishing with a friend, filling a 2-wheeler cargo wagon with muskies. A 2 member posse came up. We were sure we was done. But then they pulled out their fishing rods and helped us fill up the wagon with fish. When we went back to town with all our fish they rode ahead. We were sure they'd rob us at the butcher, as it would be too risky taking over the wagon while moving. But when they passed us in town they'd found a wagon of their own heading for the fishing spot. Also, being able to increase earnings from hunting shouldn't be something R* fears in RDO the way they do in GTA. In GTA, there is only one currency, which R* also sells, so it behooves them to throttle our GTA$ earnings to frustrate us into buying Shark Cards; in RDO, there is a separate, premium currency that, for the most part, lets you unlock items early and purchase some gold-only items - so the 'frustrate us into paying' model is served by putting high level locks and gold-only prices on the most desirable items (and in many cases, they've done both). RDO$ does not impact that at all, and since you have to unlock items by levelling up, being rich in-game will not deter us from engaging in avtivities/missions. The main problem I have with player-owned wagons coming into the game is OF COURSE it's gonna have a Maxim gun installed and be ludicrously expensive. Then there will be one with armor plating, then one with a cannon, and they'll give us the Ned Kelly armor from the story mission and soon the Wild West will be more like Wild Wild West. I'm fine with the maxim gun on a wagon though. Those things sucks imo. And yes they shouldn't have any reason to make $ impossible to get since you can't buy $. Also ppl are already using wagons and just hoping the thing won't despawn. To sell it to R*: Wagons gives oppotunities for new gold bar sales. Maxim gun 20 gold. Golden stagecoach with 4 horse reins: 40 gold. Idc, i just want a plain 1 - 2 horse cargo wagon. Maybe a ramp up to easy unload fish and game.
