How many npc's in SP did you help that you ended up seeing later?

I helped out most people I saw. But only ran into one of them after I did that bought me something in a store, some people claim to have seen the people they helped a bunch of times but for me just the 1 time

Quite a few, i would say atleast 10 probably more. It takes a few in game days and some of the NPCs reappear at specific spots. (e.g. a NPC you save could appear outside a shop or gunsmith and thank you)

It's always the snake guy, bear trap guy or poison plant/mushroom guy. Sometimes multiples of them.

Way too many.  To the point where the intial "oh that's cool" feeling quickly turned to "oh, it's scripted, again".

I thought that was pretty cool the first time it happened, and each time after.

One, but I usually don't help people

Saw the snakebite guy a few times, and I got so damn tired of helping the beartrap guy that I always ignored him and I never saw him again. 

 

But in terms of the missions, of course, the story forces you to keep running into the people whose lives you ruined earlier.  Luckily it only takes a couple hundred bucks each to buy redemption, and goose the honor bar up to 98% or so.

Epilogue spoilers:

 

Meeting Rains Fall after the story was really cool. Sad, but nice. Though the weird thing is that after that encounter, your honor completely maxes out. Not sure if intentional or not, but pretty cool nonetheless!
