”So what are we gonna do about Sweet?”

Recommended Posts

VLA4Life

Customs Fast Tracks was one of the optional missions you could do for Cesar after Driving School & San Fierro races are out of the way. At the start of the mission, CJ mentions his distress for Beverly, Sweet & Smoke. Kendl asked CJ what they were gonna do about Sweet and he couldn’t give a straight forward answer.

Rockstar most likely meant for this to take place before Sweet’s released from prison, but the conversation was worded to where it could mean CJ’s trying to get Sweet out of the hood life for good. CJ lost Brian, Smoke, Ryder; he’s lost enough brothers already. Betrayal or not.

Cesar mentioned before he wanted to propose to Kendl. After everything that’s happened, I doubt Sweet would be too upset about that. I think Kendl asked about Sweet simply because he wants to stay stubborn in the ghetto.

Once you claim every set for the Grove, you don’t have to worry about Ballas & Vagos again until 2013. Do you think CJ got him to leave eventually? Or did he just stay there and die?

CJ and Sweet are fictional characters. When the scenario ends it's like when a theatre play ends, nothing happens, the show is over.

I find it hilarious that when we make our fan made theories one of you guys simplify what actually happen

The short answer? It's vague enough to be explained away, but it's a little clumsy and is indeed written in a manner where the player plays this strand as soon as it's available. With Zero's missions, it's a little different, because he's involved in the planning of a heist which also happens to be optional. If we play the heist but not Zero's missions, we still know enough about him to involve him. He's useful, and perfect nerd foil for the group.

Long (and purely speculative) answer? You could argue that it slots in to almost all stages of the storyline. Even at the end, if you were to come back to it after everything has been wrapped up you might argue CJ is still hesitant about his brother's life in the Grove. Sweet is stubborn to a fault, and almost completely discredits CJ's success the minute they see each other. While the two do reconcile, it isn't like Sweet's packed his belongings and moved by the end of the game. CJ would likely still have reservations about sticking around, living in the house his mother was killed in. You could say at a push that Kendl's question could fit in regarding that, but I don't think R* thought that far ahead.

I would argue that most players would play these missions as soon as they were available. Who wouldn't want to play absolutely everything the game had to offer? Even if you miss them completely, you would miss the plot hole entirely anyway so it doesn't matter.

I always thought the Zero missions & the Casino heist were required. Zero’s missions I didn’t care for but the heist would make more sense if CJ got that taken care of before flying back to Los Santos.

I believe in GTA 3 if you go through Sal’s missions before finishing Joey’s you’ll f*ck yourself over on getting 100% because of a turning point like with The Green Sabre. I’d say most would finish the games at their own pace but also not worry too much about stuff outside of the story they could finish at any time.

It’s not that I didn’t want to play those missions with Cesar ASAP. I just had no idea. I didn’t pay much mind to driving school or races shortly after a new city was unlocked.

That's you, sir.

Just because you have no imagination doesn't mean that the others don't.

Yeah Ken Rosenberg & Kent Paul being with CJ shows how things after the events of Vice City went to sh*t but “lol it fiction lol xddd” like what the f*ck is the point of these forums anyway if you can’t talk about these things.

I have imagination but it doesn't prevent me from remaining connected with the reality. 39.gif

Yeah, I'm going to be the non-imaginative guy. The Wang Cars missions probably chronologically happen when San Fierro is done since that's the earliest CJ can purchase the showroom. Presumably Toreno would call CJ after the Wang Cars assets are done because it would be weird for CJ to continue building up the garage after his brother has been threatened by a mysterious phone call.

Only reason Toreno calls CJ before you do the missions in the game proper is because Wang Cars is optional and forcing the player to do them before the story can continue would no longer make them optional.

This is what I wrote ; I remain connected with the reality of GTA San Andreas featuring fictional characters taking part to a fictional story in a fictional place. 36.gif

Are you this self-absorbed and condescending in real life or is this just your little fictional late 90s album username persona?

I agree. Because coming up with our own theories and imaginations is rather pointless and a waste of time. In fact, why don't we close this forum down since there's no point in using our own theories or imaginations, because f*ck this site for allowing people to do any of that!

It took me one solid second to click on his profile and the very first thing I noticed was him bitching and moaning over someone making a popular topic. Imaging telling users with actual substance to get a grip on reality while nitpicking posts you don’t like over the most trivial sh*t. On a video game chat form of all places.
