Clearing the cache (PS4)

Hey guys,

 

So I would like to clear my cache for gtao, I've read the rockstar support and it says I should hold R1+L1 while booting up the game, r* also state that it will reset settings for my brightness. In order to verify that I have cleared the cache I set my brightness to the lowest setting, so I can clearly see it has worked, but nothing has happened upon entering the game, my settings are the same. Am I missing something?

You need to completely power down the PS4 before doing this, it can't just be in standby mode. After leaving the PS4 off for about 30 seconds switch it back on and log into your PSN account. Click on GTAV to start it then hold down the L1 and R1 buttons, don't just press them keep them held down. Instead of the game starting normally you should end up on the screen calibration page. It's black and white and has a large Rockstar logo in the centre.

Thanks for the reply! I forgot to mention I did power it down, I've tried several times, the last time I tried I powered my console down for 10 minutes, unplugged it from the mains but I still can't figure it out. Lol should I boot up the game then hold the 2 buttons down or hold em down then boot up the game? Apologies for the questions.

Boot the game, wait for the blonde to disappear and the screen to go black then hold the buttons down until the sound of the sirens stops.
