Pocket Watch

What's the point of buying this item? If we pause the game the time is displayed, so what is the purpose of the pocket watch?

I suspect it's another buggy missing item like the binoculars and fishing rod I bought...

also, pro-tip: Just press down on the d-pad to display the time (top of the screen). You don't need to pause the game.

You have to equip it in the satchel for it to show up in the item wheel. It's only use is immersion, you can find them in the world easily as well.

It serves no purpose, but I wish that the HUD didn’t show time, but only your location and temperature, so the watch actually did something.

I imagine it would be good for taking photos, and with the Rockstar Editor if or when we get it.

I had one at one point and just ended up selling it. They’re pretty pointless.

I may decide to keep a platinum pocket watch, next time I loot one off an npc in a gang ambush or hideout.
