It didn't show anything visually disturbing/shocking, but the dialogue genuienly creeped me the f*ck out. Also the fact we first meet Eddie in a dark alleyway on a foggy night really hits home the creep factor. Also the second Jeff encounter when he brutally kills his own wife and asks Niko to dispose her body was pretty unsettling. "Mr Philips" :Camera suddenly cutting to Trevor. I didn't expect it. And then Trevor killing Johnny. It's not exactly a cutscene but when Michael slowly comes up in the backseat during "Complications". His eerie calmness, conflicted with the sick sh*t you know he does in private, always put me on edge in every interaction we had with him in that game. Niko speaking about the war crimes he witnessed also springs to mind. A great example of how incredible IV's writing was. It was a scene vastly different from the stuff we usually get, because we the audience know that conflict actually happened, so it instinctively grounds the character and makes use of our real emotions by tying everything back to our own reality. Maybe seeing 9/11 on the news and then seeing the bridge blow up? My mindset at the time is that you'll be stuck for a long time but wasn't aware that you can die of asphyxiation within a few minutes. Jerking For Soup Posted December 16, 2018 Share Posted December 16, 2018 The cutscene before Bulgarin's ambush where Luis finds the diamond chef's head in a box. It took me by such surprise that I left the room after and got killed. It was more shocking to me than Johnny's death, etc, because there was a level of anticipation. By far the most disturbing mission. - And finally the torture scene in GTA 5. Don't think VC had anything that would put me off. The alternate endings in GTA 5 are both pretty sick too.
