Only cosmetic, or..?

I had a quick look but couldnt find any topics on this, sorry if I missed it.

 

Do the armor platings and similar upgrades for the Arena vehicles have any effect on bullet/explosive resistance (in Arena Wars itself, not freemode), or is it purely cosmetic? And does anyone have a spreadsheet of sorts showing the different values?

I trying find answer for that too.

I left my imperator stock looking while my domi fully upgraded and i don't want to say bullsh*t, but my imperator goes out way quicker than my domi. (or at least feels like it does since i tried both in races and i often get wrecked with imperator in both races and carnage way faster than with domi)

 

I don't know what to think.

me too ... I want an answer ...

but I do think that armor plating effects the explosive resistance of the vehicle itself : I had the lightest armor on my Apo dominator , and a player could blow up my car with just one RPG (I was inside too ) ,yet I saw on Youtube that it could take up to 2 RPG shots (with the heaviest armor ) ...
