GTA Online, Global RP glitch/Bug

Has anyone else experienced a bug with the global RP via the stats menu in game, mine is now showing over 1 billion RP which is not my correct global RP, it should be showing 178,698,884 which is my correct amount of RP, this problem started over 2 years ago but back then it was only showing as 505M since then it’s gone up by another 500M which I can’t understand why, is there currently a fix for this?

Honestly I was under the impression "Global RP" included both characters. Do you have two characters and have you been working on the second, ranking it up?

I only have 1 character I used to have a second one but I deleted it years ago cause I never played on it, this happened after rockstar gave me a free character appearance change back in 2014 when there was a bug which was causing everyone’s character appearance to keep changing.

Cool, yeah I'm sure Rockstar Games / Support have the ability to fix the issue, it's just an integer change, but I've no idea if that could cause other issues seeing as it's a bugged state. 

That may just be one of the "dirty" stats you can't ever seem to fix, similar to the negative income from the billionaire days.

I did open a Support ticket with them about it before but they couldn’t do much about it, was the same when I contacted them about my crew rank problems.

It's quite a common thing, IMO.

 

Mine says 90m+ for both my characters. One at 41m roughly (the main, rank 921), my 2nd is only rank 127/8 which is only a couple of million.

 

Not had any issues from it though, aside warped stats.

 

R* were no help, as it to reset my cache by holding L1 and R1 together upon start up. No change, lol. Useless.

Around 2 years ago mine used to be around 505M, but over the past 2 years it’s gone up to 1B, it’s meant to be around 178M, all the support suggested was to unlink my gamertag and re link it, which did nothing.

Did you notice this when you deleted your second character? At one point deleting a second character would near double your crew rank and I believe also global rp.

This happened after I deleted my second character this was over 2 years ago, when it was only showing 505M, but overtime it’s gone up to 1B now, it did also double my crew rank aswell, staying in just 1 crew also doubles my crew rank, at the moment it’s showing the correct rank.

The worst part of it there no known fix for it, I’ve been accused of modding many times cause of it.

To be fair, just about anything can see a player called that in this game, it really can get silly. I wouldn't worry too much about them players dude. Some just don't know the game they play.

I have over a billion on my account but I earned mine legitimately, it’s just my global RP in my stats I’m concerned about cause it currently is showing over 1 billion, it has happened after deleting many female characters I kept making years ago.

Props to you dude, I'm eating my own words. I mean, I earned over $120 million in four months, but I'm very surprised that not only someone's reached (and massively surpassed) the $1 billion mark legitimately, but the person who did that isn't The Professional or Oleg or someone else. 
I guess with that RP and playtime you're over rank 2000 or something too - people will definitely accuse you of modding for that too.

I get accused of modding quite alot, and with my global RP in my stats showing over 1 billion isn’t helping either, many people have seen it from my YouTube videos then accused me of modding.

Hmm, well today my global RP went from 42 mil to 88 mil. Before, it was 31 mil and then increased to 41 mil. How is that even possible? I think it has to do with something about crew switching, as I changed my crew physically in the pause menu. Or it may be random. It kinda bugs me and I might ask Rockstar to change my global RP to match my actual level.

Mine is the same from deleting 2nd characters, its been known a glitch for years so I wouldnt worry about it. My crew rank is about where it should be but global RP still in the billions. All you can do is hope it fixes itself one day or contact R* but I doubt they will edit your stats for you especially since this is a error thats probably on the social club side.

 

@fvpf- Yes having alot of crews or changing crews will mess up your stats. But if you had a high rank in a crew that you like and it got messed up you can usually fix it by leaving your other crews and unlink/relink your psn. If R* changes your stats for you let us all know.

Unlinking and relinking my gamertag normally doesn’t work, it normally makes my crew rank go up to 3000+, I did contact R* support about it before but they couldn’t do much.

It happened to mine quite a while ago, it once when to 500M RP and only a few weeks I noticed it has gone to over 1 billion now, but my actual global rp should be around 179.7M.

Nearly 1.4 bn legit in over 3 years. Global rank should be in the 1400s, but thats counting my ps4& xb1X time.

After R* sending me several reponses to show proof I made the request for my PSN ID and a video of me logged into my PS4, all they basically gave was a big f*ck you to me.

I got the same sort of response when I sent them a ticket to reset my global rp & my crew rank, I haven’t sent them another one since cause I will end up getting the same response back.
