RDR2: Online Compendium a.k.a. "Business Breakdown"

Recommended Posts

CaliMeatWagon

I was hoping on holding off until I had more data to share, but somebody forced my hand.

I've been tracking my experience in RDR2:O and spread sheeting the sh*t out of it all.

This is a continued project and we will continue to update this during the life of the game.

I am still missing some data, so if you have information to contribute, prices of plants, treasure chest locations, pelt prices, et. please share. If you notice something wrong with anything of the info. Please let me know.

Contents:

  • Carcass, Meat, Pelt prices, prices for "Good" fish
    • Spoiler

So far one of the biggest things I found was the pricing for pelts/carcasses:
Depending on which you look at as baseline it goes like this.

      Poor vs Good vs Perfect

      100%    150%    250%
      67%      100%    167%
      40%        60%    100%

  • Story and Stranger Mission Payouts
    • Spoiler

Gold Payout for Story Missions are increased $0.08 at a time are done so based on brackets (working on figuring these).

  • Story/Stranger Mission List
  • Stranger Mission Honor and PvP ratio.
  • Loot Prices

Looks like the Bird section needs some info.  I'll run around tonight and get some numbers for ya.

But I can tell ya off the bat that crows, orioles, and songbirds (and presumably robins) go into your satchel as a full carcass.  Haven't seen an option to skin em yet but I'll look again.

Also a Boar is too large to store as a carcass, can only skin them.

Thank you.
Some of the creatures have an option to break them down once in your satchel.

Observation:   hunt swamp birds.  Like crazy.    Those pelicans and herons are feathered gold.

*Edit:   looks like, in general, you want to hunt the swamps.   Take as many gators as you can, hide and carcass.  Also, as per above, bag pelicans and herons.

Outside of the swamps, deer/buck = very easy (and abundant) money.   Cougars are top line if you can get them before they get you.  Rams are worth the effort.  Bear (black and grizz) are overrated, and not worth the risk.   Also, fish the northern waters for sturgeon, sockeye salmon, and steelhead trout.

I make money on rabbits. They are everywhere easy to kill and you get perfect quantity every time with varmint rifle, until you people get that gun nerfed for abusing it in PvP that is

Looks like we should add pronghorn to the list of good profits/easy money.

It would also be a help if there was a list that showed which weapons are required for a perfect pelt from various animals.

I need help plotting the levels, I think I got the requirements down, but I could use some data from others. So if you could share what level you are at, and how much XP is required to the next one, that would be really helpful.

Isn’t that info on the game?? Maybe I’m misunderstanding you, but I usually go to the start menu:Progress:Rank Unlocks and it tells you how much XP is needed for each level.

And I’ll check the plant prices to confirm, but I’m almost certain everything is 25cents/per.

Yeah but it doesn't show how much XP needed for the levels past 100.

I’m pretty sure I noticed different prices for full stacks of plants when I sold them to the doctor, but anyway I didnt bring any real info with me right now.

Very nice effort btw. I’ll try to contribute when I play later today!

You bumped an 8 month old thread to ask about something that's not even relevant to online? Nice job.

They are animals in the game that can be hunted, killed, and their various body parts sold for cash...

So I ask again, how is hunting irreverent to RDR2: Online?

Seems I've seen robins in the Roanoke Ridge area. Small birds are hard to draw a head on, in a flash they're gone.

Edit.

I meant to say "bead".

Especially in first person free aim. I always tell people don't tell me how good of a hunter you are until you start baggin' pocket birds.

That's what I hunt. For gamey bird meat and flight feathers. Keep about 50 to 60 at all times. Great for bow users.

Each bird regardless of class (perfect, good, poor). Once "broke down" produce:

One gamey meat

Two flight feathers

Two bird feathers

10  perfect Quail sale for 27.50.  Use small game arrows.

This is truly brilliant. Never considered doing this. Really smart.

@The Blast

It adds to your arrow arsenal; if you keep raw materials.

8 dynamite, fire, and poison arrows can quickly become 16. If you time it right.
