I always take hair tonic then sleep (repeat) for some odd reason the moustache seems to grow but the rest takes a long time to grow. What am I doing wrong? Thanks. Like Cutter said, only the fool who coded this specific element knows what the feck is going on. Let's hope he gets a handle on it sooner rather than later. SM00V 0PERAT0R Posted December 17, 2018 Share Posted December 17, 2018 I am at 7 in chapter 2 on my second playthrough. I suspect there is a limited window to get the beard there before Arthur gets his cold. I think also you cannot go past a certain point until you progress further, like in chapter 2 for a month doing hunting things for satchel, challenges, etc etc and it is still at 7. I have had it to 8 before on the first play through but I agree, it is pretty nappy looking. I still want to try for 10 this time and I will keep doing so. Now that I have the LOTE satchel, I will consume hair tonics twice as much and hopefully see some progress after a couple missions. I still have not even gotten to "Pouring fourth oil" which is a key mission where I know the Dead eye marker ability changes, so I think after chapter 2 would be the best bet for maximum hair growth, and before I get into chapter 4. SneakyDeaky Posted December 19, 2018 Share Posted December 19, 2018 (edited) when I use tonics I get these weird dye like streaks on Arthur's cheeks which vanish if i go to the shaving table. It's all the time now. I will take a picture and edit this post later. Sometimes Arthur's hair grows really quickly other times it grows slow as molasses. Sometimes it grows when I sleep sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it grows during cutscenes, when I die, when I reload, and other times it never seems to grow. Cutter De Blanc Posted December 21, 2018 Share Posted December 21, 2018 I was wrong about the glitch, my mustache and chin are growing at the normal rate, but now I understand what's happening on my file, the hair tonic is only affecting my chops, it made it seem like they were the only thing growing because I had taken a hair tonic, causing them to grow faster than the rest.
