theEwing1979 681 Posted December 11, 2018 I wonder how many RPGs it takes to blow it to f*ck? One, two?
Willy A. Jeep 3,034 Posted December 11, 2018 @theEwing1979, Looks like just one. It's weaponized out the wazoo, though, and can... jump, with upgrades. GTA Series Videos shows off its features in this video.

Willy A. Jeep 3,034 Posted December 11, 2018 @Mazawattee, The Social Club lists it under "Commercial" and it displays as such in customization.

Commche 354 Posted December 11, 2018 Looks cool, it has some cool features, but as has become usual with these weaponized fierce looking vehicles, it's still a paper tiger. I know some people are sick of the explosive resistance complaints but I'm even more sick of them adding more and more ways to blow sh*t up and far few new vehicles that can take any serious pounding from them. In this same release they even made it so proxy mines are better at vehicle detection and made it so it's much harder to blow yourself up with your own, so count on seeing more of those around. 🙄
hei3enberg 9,750 Posted December 11, 2018 Okay, I've got this thing. To keep it short: unless you're playing Arena, do not buy this truck. Flamethrowers are only good against civilian NPCs, it rams worse than that monster benz truck, it's expensive AF.

Fully agree. I mean, not everything needs to shrug off 30 rockets but come one, one explosive, really?
Spectre "2K" 1,151 Posted December 12, 2018 maybe i'm thinking of a different vehicle but i saw someone driving around and they shrugged off 3 homing missiles with the 4th killing them?

whywontyoulisten 10,360 Posted December 17, 2018 (edited) Does the Large Scoop actually hold on to vehicles that you ram? I'm not expecting moving parts, but it looks as if it should do a better job than the wedge-style ones. Edit: wrong vehicle. Gaffa 6,090 Posted December 17, 2018 (edited) Flamethrower needs a huge buff to its range - I'm almost sure it's supposed to be 120m according to the files but it just isn't that in-game. 120m might be a bit far, but currently if I'm driving this, I have to be so close to another car to set it on fire / explode, I'm usually within the blast radius and thus the truck ends up blowing up sooner or later. 60m is probably fair, given it's half the range of most normal firearms, especially considering it takes a bit of time for those flames to reach their full distance. Foreverpast 2,038 Posted December 18, 2018 (edited) Less people buying it because it's not free-roam pvp savvy just makes it more enjoyable for me, as it means I won't see it being used all the time. I've been having quite alot of fun using it in missions & vip work, or generally teaming up with friends in non-public sessions. It's essentially a new playground toy & nothing more, which is fine by me. It's not like even if it had some serious explosive resistance, that it would be effective at all against Deluxos or Oppressors, unless said opponents are stupid enough to get so close or land on the ground. I've used the RCV often just for fun & the Cerberus feels like a better traffic bashing, fire spitting version (minus the sirens sadly though). It's ramming capability is freakin fantastic, despite what people have said in the past for some reason. Also after extensive testing/maybe it's still just by chance: I'm finding npcs are having alot harder of a time actually shooting me when I've got the lightest armor mod on, compared to the heaviest. The three things I would like to see adjusted on it: #1: It's flamethrowers to have the same range as the RCV's water cannons. #2: Choice of flame colors (Blue, Purple, White, etc), since different colors are already present- Normal, Brighter, & Green. #3: Driver and/or at least the passenger can use small firearms if they want to/rather than the flamerthrowers. * Also there's still the issue where any kills a passenger gets using the secondary flamethrower, count as kills for the driver. I've tested it against freeroam & mission npcs- every kill a passenger got, I received the rp & kill count for it. Keeping it simple with an all matte black & chrome design, red lights, impressive performance basic ram, no bulky armor, & a single flamethrower: Edited December 19, 2018 by Foreverpast

We Are Ninja 8,170 Posted January 4 Does it's ramming a ability and ground clearance issues improve if you install a ram instead of a scoop?
—TheSquid— 661 Posted January 5 7 hours ago, We Are Ninja said: Does it's ramming a ability and ground clearance issues improve if you install a ram instead of a scoop? Looking at the heavy armor, I’m going to say your ground clearance isn’t improving no matter what. Maybe a ram and light armor.
